• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm going to do a speaker mod this spring with an Amp and iPod... question I'm having is how, what , where do you hook the 12 volt power to the spyder.... :)

Thanks so much,
rich

More info needed. You will get a better answer if you tell us the model and year of your Spyder. It makes a difference.

A warning before I start. Do not use the negative ground jump start under the seat for a ground EVER.
Now with that out of the way. The positive jumper point under the seat is a good place to get a constant 12V if needed. For a switched 12V I would look to the accessories plug harness. Either connected to the optional accessories plug or the harness tied up behind the left side of the frunk. But is only 3 amp, if that is enough.

I'd recommend that you install an auxiliary fuse block, attached directly to the battery. One that is relay triggered to shut off when the Spyder is noit running might be a good idea. That would take tapping into a key-on circuit to operate the relay, like the switched accessory circuit or the lighting.
