• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I'm trying to plan the road trip to Spyderfest I'm leaving from San Antonio, Tx. I would like to know what would be best way to travel, Stick mainly to the Highways or take the back roads, If you're giving yourself two days to travel?

Best way...................

Get in touch with other from Texas on this site, i.e. Flamigobabe is a good start. Look under the Texas forum and post. I think the best way to ryde is to do it with other Spyder Ryders.

I just did something like your trip back in Oct of 2013. Wife and I traveled from Trinity TX to Springfield MO in one day. We stuck to the main roads for the most part. We did stay away from Dallas due to traffic.

I am leaving San Antonio on Monday, 28th taking I35 through Dallas then Hwy 75/69 up to I44. Stopping in Durant OK first night. Mostly Interstate on this trip. On the way back may take a different route ending up on 281 back to SA. You are more than welcome to ride with us. If Ingramsail doesn't leave on Sunday he and his wife may ride with us as well. Stay in touch by PM if you want to join us. As time gets closer will determine what time we will leave, but most likely around 8:00am.

Wolphspyder and I are leaving on Tuesday and traveling back roads up,we will take a leisurely pace so we can enjoy the ryde. We looked at the IH 35 route, so far we are sticking with the back roads.

You are welcome to ride with us,We are leaveing on the 28th David from Aransas pass and myself 3 othe riders from C.C. going to Marshall tx staying the night
at the America best value inn.

Starting out in Houston here. But my route is I 10 to Beltway 8, Beltway 8 to 59, spend the night in Arkadelphia. (Great hotel with a sports bar/breakfast place within walking distance. Hope it's still there...)

Next day get off 59, thread my way through the back roads to The Pig Trail, AR 23, and on up to Eureka Springs. (Awesome riding in that area!) A GPS is needed. Don't ask me why...

Next day, turn north to Springfield. You can take the twisty way or the main road. A short day and you arrive rested.

Yup, I'm a leisurely rider...

If the weather is good, take the back roads. If the weather is bad, stay on the main roads.
