• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ANYBODY EVER DO THIS?

Modify enclosed trailer for short-term camping at some event. Cots, sleeping bags. I'm sure it might get old really quick.

We use ours that way, with folding cots, air mattresses and a porta-potty. We usually leave the camp kitchen outside under a canopy. I built a screen and privacy screen for the rear ramp door for those hot nights and an awning for sunny days. Arntufun has made permanent modification to his enclosed trailer, incuding a fold-up bed and other luxuries. Other SpyderLovers have, too. We see a wide vairiety of such at Vintage Motorcycle Days each year. The enclosed trailer makes a dry, quiet, and very comfortable tent.

there was a nice toy hauler for sale on the sight a couple of days ago--nice price and good brand name. we have a 25 footer and really like it. when I was working I was on the road more than not and swore that I would not spend a night in a motel again . we have been all over this country with it. you will never get your money back out of it, but there is something to be said about sleeping in your own bed and using your own toilet and shower.

Here is a few that might give you some ideas............ If you have electric, plumbing and some carpentry skills this is a great low cost toyhauler.

Randy,
Is the bed stored up overhead? What sort of lifting system do you use on it? How long does it take to convert from hauling, to sleeping setups?

The bed folds down from the left wall. Its on big hinges and is held up by a rachet strap. The hose reel in Pic 2 is actually the bottom of the bed and that holds the water hoses during transport.

undo 3 straps on bike and drive it out.
undo 1 bed strap and fold it down.
It's powered by 12" pythons located just below the shoulders..... :roflblack:

Here is photo standing a little further back to give you a better idea of the bed design.

Holy gas pedal Batman! Now that is a toy hauler. If that is homemade you are quite talented. Very Nice. I have a modified Forest River W&P 18EC. Very Comfortable.

What are the dimensions on the trailer ? 6x12, 7x14 ? Please, I know this is an old post, but it looks like the perfect winter project to me! Just need a starting point.

It's a 7x14 (Plus 2' vnose)

Although, I just sold it, I'm sure I could help you if you were going to make one providing you have basic skills..
