• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 Comfort Seat

Does anyone know if the 2014 comfort seat with driver backrest will fit a 2013 RT Limited. Seems like it would, as the frame is the same. Just something I might be interested in doing.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate the input. Now I just have to find out what it will cost and if the Other Half will go for it.

If she rides with you just go ahead and buy it and tell her you only did it with her comfort level in mind, if she doesn't then I don't know.

Thanks Jim. My dealer is today installing a Smoothspyder, and if I can get that past her, I may go for the saet as well.

Yep but Utopia just released the Utopia backrest to fit the 2014 seat at a lot less $$$$.....

Bob

I went to the Utopia site, and they have one that will fit my 2013 seat, and as you said, a LOT less $$$$. No way am I spending 1K for the BRP seat & backrest when I can get the Utopia backrest for $289. Thanks a lot for the information.

Please keep in mind, that the Comfort Seat moves your seating position rearward about 2"...
Which is taken away from your "Navigator's" amount of available space...

Yep so make sure your better half fits! Mine did and she even liked the better feel of the backrest holding her in the seat.

Also if you do get the comfort seat that moves you back 2" make sure you get the proper Utopia backrest bracket! They are not interchangeable! Utopia is the only after market that makes a backrest to fit the comfort seat that moves you back 2". The Show Chrome Smart Mount backrest is nice but wont work on the comfort seat. Ask me how I know ;)

What is this "navigator" that you speak of? :roflblack: There really is very little passenger room left with the Comfort Seat and the Backrest. :yes:means I shouldn't get anymore requests to haul a passenger.

For those of us, who have been "gifted" with Navigators; their space is a bit limited to begin with...
The Missus has always been telling me where to go ...That makes her, my Navigator. I just haven't gone there yet!! :D

Ann,
The racing's in Vegas this weekend...
