Only 26 Days until Spring -- SOMEONE PLEASE TELL MOTHER NATURE!

:agree: We will get through this winter. Onward and upward.

Thanks for your words of encouragement!!!!:2thumbs: (Easy for you to say now that you don't live here :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: ) Anyways, always good to hear from someone who has lived in this snowy, cold, tundra of a state called Minnesota....I do have to say that summers are spectacular here !!! (keep thinking good thoughts! )

26 More days to spring?

We had 101 inches of snow here in Grand Rapids Mi so far record low temperatures coming next week with no end in sight.

God bless you.....I feel your pain...not that much snow here, but that much cold...this state was running out of propane!

Stay warm and safe ....warmer weather will come eventually! Ice will be off the lakes by July :roflblack:

Yes, we have a propane shortage, too. I felt very fortunate to get some for the new house.

We stand at 78 days with continuous snow cover...and still counting. We haven't seen pavement on local streets for months...even during last week's short thaw and heavy rain. As to the driveway, I think it is permafrost.

I may have to move to the other side of the state. :roflblack: You apparently get less snow. We've had 7 1/2 feet here in "mild" Battle Creek, and an even 12 feet in Allegan so far. Few roads are dry, and the one that are are extremely salty. My driveway and the local streets are covered with several inches of ice, which "magically" appeared after our rain Thursday. The Spyders couldn't get out on the road if you tried to tow them. I sneak out and ride if it is at all possible, many times every month of the year. This is the first time I can remember, in the last 50 years, that I have been unable to ride for even a day in three months. At the rate we're going, I'm not sure we will break the curse in March, either.

I don't know how much snow we received so far this winter all I know it started in December and kept on snowing and snowing. There is so much snow on the ground when I made it to the road there was no place to go, even to turn around. I just stay on the main roads.

It's been a tough winter in MinneSNOWta as well as other places this season! A few pics from our last snowstorm (this past week) about 10+ inches (largest one this season)...now deep freeze with high's single digit and lows below zero for next week to 10 days. Spring is only 26 days away - someone tell mother nature :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Like many of you in the northern USA and in Canada, I am getting cabin fever..... and really want to ryde my 2014 RT Limited. :gaah:
:gaah::gaah::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Pic 1 - yes... that's my driveway that needs to be snow blowed out! :gaah:
Pic 2 - back yard....snow almost as high as fence
Pic 3 - snowblowing driveway...snow over top of snowblower
Pic 4 - getting the job done.....wow

For those who can ryde your Spyder this time of year, great for you and count your blessings!!

We do, and we are hoping the snow goes away soon for all of the ryders up there so you can enjoy these great 2014 RT'S.

Thanks for your comments. How do you like Florida? I looked up your area which is north of where my brother has a condo (West Palm Beach). Do you like it there and is that your winter home or year around. We'll be looking for something down that way for the winter within a year or two....best regards.....

I have been living here for 31 years and love it! Moved here from NC to get away from the snow and ice.

I feel for you! Southwest Colorado has had very little winter this year, so we've taken advantage of the riding, with heated gear of course.

Good for you all.....We have friends in the Phoenix area and they have had beautifully warm weather too....we will be going there sometime in March to ryde with them. I will be renting a Gold Wing (did the same last year) and enjoy the warmer weather....Minnesnowta has turned into cold tundra with lots of snow this season (worst we've had since 1982).

It's great you can get out and ryde, even with using heated gear - that's would be fine with me (but this area's roads are so bad with ice, snow, potholes, salt, sand, etc.)...I think it will be April before I get a descent ryde here....

Best regards.....

OMG, don't bring up the potholes! Worst epidemic ever. I'm not looking forward to riding much until some of them can be patched.

Someday soon (within a couple years), we will have a "winter home" somewhere warm.

My son lives just north of you at White Bear Lake, so I keep a close eye on your weather :gaah:
We spend 6 mos in IA, and 6 mos here in AZ. Rode today in 80 degree weather, and loving it :ohyea:

We've had a couple of spells with ice coating the roads here in west Texas this winter. All in all, one of the coldest winters I've seen in a while but nothing compared to what you folks up north have experienced. I admire your ability to keep riding when it's cold enough that I just want to sit by the fire. But I don't envy you at all. Rode the Spyder yesterday. Temp was about 67 degrees and 15 - 20 MPH south winds. Rode the BMW F650 today. Temp about 83 degrees and little wind. Absolutely beautiful riding weather.

Great! We'll be visiting some good friends of ours in Goodyear, AZ and ryde for about a week coming up in March 2014.:yes::yes:..can't wait, especially after this winter!

BTW....how do you like the Tucson, AZ area. Goodyear/Phoenix I'm familiar with, but not much on Tucson. Last year we went to Biosphere II and took the tour. We REALLY enjoyed rydin' in Arizona last year with our friends....I hope the weather holds for great rydin' in March.

It was in the 80s here today, though it rained in the afternoon.

One of the area's we're looking at (looking at several states) is the east coast side of Florida....obviously warmer weather....do you like your area and do you use if for winter only or year around? Thanks.....best regards and happy rydin'

Worst Winter ...cold, snow, roads, etc.

Minnesnowta at it's finest!! The chart above reflects current status .... they are saying we are definitely going to be in the top 10 coldest winters on record by the end of the season.

Worst winter in a long time (since 1982-1983), cold, snowy, and roads WOW term like roadpocolypse is being used recently as all roads have turned to ice and accidents and spinouts everywhere with our last snowstorm of nearly a foot. Roadpocolypse is also relating to the large number of HUGE potholes developing on all roads....I hate to say it, but it will be another month (or two) before I get a ryde in around here....just looks terrible out -- thank you all for letting me vent! PMS (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome) and cabin fever have me in a state of panic!! Good news is we're heading to Arizona to ryde with some friends in March to get out of this area for awhile (whewwww....hopefully that will give me an attitude adjustment!!) LOL :roflblack::roflblack:

Minnesnowta is absolutely beautiful in the summer (all 90 days of it)! It's just the winters sometimes start early and end late....now that's the problem (at least for me). Time to look south for a winter home and be a "snowbird".:2thumbs:
