• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Appointment disappointment

I made an appointment to get the software update and just got off the phone with the dealer. They won't do just the software without doing the fuse box and they do not have parts. Told them to order them and call me. It is supposed to be a 60deg day today and winterstorm tomorrow. Long range forecast is nothing above 50deg for next week and 1/2. Call me a wimp but I do not care to ride 2hrs in 40deg weather.:dontknow:

good luck tomorrow

i can understand the dealer wanting to do all the work at one time but i just heard on the news that you guys could get up to 12 inches of snow in the next couple of days

I live close enough to the coast that all we will get is a little snow.....BUT freezing rain and sleet is on the menu. Inland will get hammered.:yikes:

Dave,
Sorry to hear that it can't be taken care of just yet...
And I'm even sorrier to hear of the weather report! :yikes: :gaah:
Hang in there!!!

I agree with the dealer on this one. Do only half the job. Not get paid until the the job is complete, whenever that may be. Handle your Spyder twice to get the job done. What's your hurry you got 3 yrs to get it done!!!!! In this cooler weather there is no problem anyway. Give the poor dealer a chance to to get the parts in and in a couple weeks I bet he will get you in.

Cold riding

Dave I am with you 100% on riding in the cold. There is now a " once upon a time" statement to add to that statement.

I am sitting here in the Daytona Beach, FL area and it is 70 degrees partly cloudy wet and not a fit day to go bikini watching.

I am wondering what the waterproofing the fuse block is going to accomplish in the heat problem?

It is a 3 different problem correcting bulletin, not necessarily connected to each other.

Of course waterproofing the fuse box has nothing to do with the heat. Neither does putting new screws in the belt guard on the ST. Neither does fixing the ECM so that it does not go into limp mode for heat when it is not overheating. None of these will reduce heat, but they still need to be fixed.

Bummer..!!

but if the weather is good for a ryde....ryde..!! When it gets better again you can have all the work done at once. Running down to do part of it to only have to go back in a couple of weeks again seems a bit much...if you ryde be safe and enjoy if not be calm and enjoy...

40 degrees is very comfortable with just a bit of the right gear... :ohyea:

Things don't get serious until you get down into the low 20's. :yikes:
