• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bulletin 2013-9

never had

what i thought was a tuning issue, i never felt any hesitation from a standing start but after the heat fix issue i did have excessive heat under the seat that i never felt b4 because they did a update on the bike software at that time

Just read this does that mean I am unable to have this ECM update done because I live in Pennsylvania?

I Don't know, but I'd be cautious and do your homework before having it done. Might be worth the trip to a non-carb state???

:dontknow: But I am guessing you could go out of state and get it done. I believe this really applies to autos since there is no OBD II testing on the Spyder.

Wait... I never knew there was a difference. So you mean that because I bought my Spyder in Cali, it's a CARB vehicle and this new update won't fix anything? :sour:

Is there any way to convert it to a non-CARB Spyder?

This.

If there is a heat fix possible for this bike I need it!

carb compliant

:):) you can get your ecm up-date in pa--there are no emission tests for motorcycles or diesel engines--only cars and trucks with gasoline engines

The update is real. The fuse box covers are not shipping yet. Got the tune update on Louise new RT-S this morning before we took delivery. Since her bike is different than mine in other ways, cannot offer a before / after comparison yet. But the new bike runs fine and I had no gas fumes today. But it was in the 50s and never sat in S&G traffic.

I bought my Spyder in Cali, so that means it's a CARB vehicle and this new update won't fix anything? Or can I just not get the update in this state? If I drive to Arizona can I get it done there?

:(

States adopting the California standards include Arizona (2012 model year),[SUP][1][/SUP] Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico (2011 model year), New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, as well as the District of Columbia.[SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP] Such states are frequently referred to as "CARB states" in automotive discussions because the regulations are defined by the California Air Resources Board
Arizona (2012 model year) ????????? does this mean it only applys to 2012 and will not affect the 2013. Emission checks are no longer required for motorcycles in PIMA county and a lot of the rest of AZ
