• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:gaah:Just when I had finally decided I wanted a yellow one, my salesman said they didn't order any yellows! Apparently they ordered a bunch of yellow '13's and that color hasn't sold well for them. They're wheelin and dealin on '13's.

SOOOOO, its white or nothing. I just gotta convince myself that white is best inasmuch as its the color I first thought I wanted....and they have one waiting for me. We've made a verbal deal, soon as I can get with dealer and do some paperwork. High in mid-30's next couple days....guess I can bundle up enuf. :D

if they want your business to find you a yellow one. i have to admit that the yellow one i have attracts more attention than any other bike i have ever owned. if they want to make you happy they will find you one

When I bought my 2012 the dealer had more red than they knew what to do with, so they were making deals on them. I asked if they could get me a blue RT, and while they said they could look into trading with another dealership. They could not guarantee the same deal, as on the red RT. Could have been just a story on their part, but the deal was good, and I did like the red too.
 
Time for some custom paint ?

If you go with white. Have a paint shop squirt some yellow (or) on it. Or, talk to Pete. If you don't mind wraps.

White is a good color and will grow on you over time, if that is the way you end up going. I am also with you on the fact that Yellow is my color of first choice this go around.

Let us know what happens.
 
Curious..!!

we used to swap with other dealers. We would find one that would trade with us and run over and back. Don't know how many dealers you have or how close they are. Sometimes We sent the customer over to pick it up and ride it home. But that was us at a different time...white is really nice..!! :ohyea:
 
Thanks guys for the feedback and encouragement. Being an old fart, I still like pin striping and will play with that to get a little color. Maybe later after getting a backrest and couple light things I can have some nicer paintwork done.

Initially, I didn't even consider yellow and the white one is the one I sat on with motor running and "rode" it a few feet forward and back, so in a way, I have already bonded with it (now ain't that a silly thing to say about an inanimate object?).

I'm gonna be happy with this one, providing it rides and handles as well as my '11, otherwise the deal is off. Going up today to do some paperwork and high is going to be 37...way below my threshold...but its not projected to be much better in the next week or so. The deal includes a lazer alignment(will prob leave that for a later date) and hooking up my Gerbing connector so the ride home will be with heated gloves and jacket.

The demo ride tho, might be cold as the Gerbing won't get connected until I sign on the dotted line. :D

I have a white RS-S. It's an elegant color that perfectly complements my natural panache and charm. :ohyea:

I went through the same thing.
I did not like any of the new colors. I finally picked yellow. But when I talked to my dealer he said only had black or white. The black one was sold. He called around to find a yellow one. No one around had one and he nothing yellow coming till April:yikes:. So I bought the white one.

I have to say the white is beautiful in person. Maybe I will get is painted down the road. But not for a while.
 
White

My wife says white is for old people.....so being an old people I have a white 2013 RT Ltd and a white Tundra and a white Harley....
