• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New to the spyder world here. 13 rt-s Considering my first mod, and wandering what everyone's consesus were on highway pegs and mounts.

I have not gotten any myself yet but it is on my list!

I have researched all of them and I have to say the Lemont NVB's look the best as far as mounting and adjustability! I would hate to spend the money only to find I cannot get it adjusted to my liking. I think the NVB's offer the most adjustability.

My .00002 cents.

Welcome..!! Welcome..!!

To the roadster world and the place to make it the best expierence...check the home page sponsors for highway pegs. There are quite a few and some folks have made their own. Lamont has one of the best. I don't use them but you will opinions soon...:ohyea:

Highway Pegs

I installed Lamont's NBV's with Spyder web pegs. I love them, they are fully adjustable and make riding so much more enjoyable.

My wife has Lamont's pegs on her machine. I think they were installed in the spring of '12 and I bet she hasn't used them more than a couple of times over the 15,000 miles the Spyder has been driven.

I opted for boards and I am much more comfortable with them than pegs.

I think the seating position for the Spyder (maybe has something to do with leg length) just doesn't lend itself to highway pegs.

I just got Lamont's Web Pegs . . . haven't ridden with them, yet, but know I'll use them . . . I use the fenders, sometimes, just to stretch my legs on a log ride . . . I'll be more comfortable using the pegs!

I put them on my 2012RT. But now I'm wondering if they will interfere with oil change?

DIY is the ONLY way to go....
DIY's get you more involved with your ride, and generates a higher level of satisfaction, versus a simple installation of a purchased product....
This is my DIY version of 'foot pegs'... these are mounted on my '09 RS SE5...

i purchased a set of RS REAR FOOT PEGS for around $120 from my dealer... i used 3/4" box stock and 3/4" angle stock... fabricated the 'cross frame', welded the angle to the chassic and bolted thru the angle thru the box and it's 'rock solid'... after a 4800 mile ride, it proved to be invaluable... MAJOR comfort, versus just the 1 position OEM pegs... i also have DIY Foot Rest that give me a 3rd position to put my feet on during longs rides...
JUST DO IT.... u'll never regret it....

foot pegs

Well I can tell u I just bought a set of lamont nbv pegs.and I'm going to absolutely love them..I use the wings to put my feet on but I'm kinda afraid that one day they will just break off going down the road..so I say watch Spyderlovers website cuz people sell parts all the time or buy his pegs...they r easy to put on..He has very clear directions on how to put on. And like everyone says it let's u move ur foot where u want it..well happy hunting.
Thanks
Chuck
