• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So my Fiancee baught me some Wizard Lights courtasy of NMN. And today I decided its time to disect the spyder and figure out where the best place to mount them would be so right now spydie is sitting in the carport naked and i'm here for user input. Were would you mount them?

I'm thinking mounting 4 of them to the bottom of the frame or maybe 2 on each side of the frame i'm not really sure yet. Then I noticed their is a nice rail at the area of the openings on the sides that i'm thinking of mounting one on each one but its up kind of hight and not sure how well the light would project. Then the last 2 that i have well i'm not sure were the heck to mount them I would like some that would shine on the wheel area but don't really know the best place to mount them for this purpose.

If anyone has some LED's installed that would like to share their pics of where they have them mounted it would be greatly appreciated.

I talked to your fiancee about this. PM me with your phone number and I can help you out!:2thumbs:

The plot thickens................

NOPE. Actually talked with Tim this afternoon and the install should be done tonight.:chat: :2thumbs:

Hopefully when he's done, he will post up some pics of the completed project. Can't wait to see another :spyder:GLOWIN!!!!!:doorag::2excited:

And..... if our parts ever come back from the chromers..... :cus:, there will be two :spyder:out there running the Magical Wizards. The wife is nagging me to get the SE5 lit up with these.

All 8 lights are mounted and i'll try to get some pictures to post later but it was enough to light up the suspension pretty nicely.

I mounted 2 on each side near the trunk 1 in each of the silver side panels and 1 behind each of the passenger pegs.

I'll tell you it looks really good and after doing this there is no way i can get the fog lights. The locations they are mounted makes the glow come through the holes were the fog lights would be mounted. Once i get my camera charged i'll take some photos of the way it looks as well as were they are mounted.

Now i just need to get about 16 more lights and i'll have the whole thing lit up nicely :-)

Glad to here you got them on!:congrats:

Ahhhh, I see you now have the diease!!!! I currently (LOL), have ONLY 20 Magical Wizard pods on my new RoadGlide. My last RG had 28 (I'm on a 6 step program this time but it isnt working out for me!). And my T-Rex has almost 700 LED's on it. Lights are like tattoos! You can never just have one!:joke:

Once I recieve all of the chrome back, this will be the next project on the wife's :spyder2:. Hopefully everything will be here by the time we get back from Daytona (was suppose to be here two weeks ago).

I like the idea of putting them in the fog light area, should have put some there. I got the 8 pack in from NMN and after figuring out where to get more wire, rather than waiting for the extensin kits, (NMN sells them for the spyder, but fails to mention the wires are too short, so you need to also buy the extension kit, either that or I just did not notice that part on their site). Here are some pics of where I put mine:

I can only do max 5 pics, so will do another post with a couple more..
Pretty awesome kits, highly recomended

couple more pics

Bottome line..get 'em, you will love them!

I like. :2thumbs:

This is next on my list of mods. I was also thinking about lighting up the vents near top front and rear on each side. Sorry for not so specific having brain cramp !

What I would like (for mine that is) is some lighting further up the Spyder. The vents, a small one back up under (or down and under based on perspective) the safety card area to light up the console area, etc.

I would think the problem with the vents your talking about is they are to small and would not allow the light to shine through very well. You can always place them there and hold them and hook it up so see and if you don't like it then move them. But i don't think it would show very well.

Thanx for the pics and vid. Looks awesome!! I was going to go low in the rear, but the back tire looks good lit up.

So I think I will go with 2 up front under the trunk one on each A Arm, one over the tire. That leave 3 to figure out.
