There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. just a little venting...

I have both a Spyder and a bike. I ride the Spyder on roads, streets, and freeways. I ride the bike in the dry riverbed.

When someone starts giving me a hard time I usually just walk away. I don't have enough years in my life left to engage with jerks. By the way, I am 63. My father died when he was 101, my mother when she was 98. So with the limited 30 or 40 years I have left...

:agree: :yes::yes::yes:

For those guys and gals that say the spyder is not a real motorcycle/bike or make the comments about it is only okay to ride a trike if you're physically unable to ride a two wheeler, I have a couple of points to make to you if you live in the south:

1) ...QUOTE]

As a two-wheel rider getting the Spyder to keep my wife on the "open" road with me, I also struggled with the comments until my son-in-law put it into perspective for me. It wasn't a purchase for anyone other than us. The Spyder met a changing need...and turned out to be more fun that the two-wheeler to me. My first year stats were split 7,800 miles for the Spyder and 400 for the Ultra, and most of the Spyder miles were one-up.

I resolved that I wasn't getting into the "motorcycle" debate. I ride a traditional motorcycle and an open air riding machine with three wheels. Call it what you want, but I call it lots of fun. ...Don

P.S. I just rode the Ultra on a 6-day, 1,700 mile ride. I dropped it twice (I hate gravel and locking brakes), and when we faced inclement weather on the Cherohala Skyway, I really missed the ride-friendly Spyder.

There is a difference between a riding club and a motorcycle club.

You're right and when he said "club" I just jumped to MC since that and MM (ministries) are what is most prevalent around me. Thanks for clarifying.

There are jerks everywhere . . . very often they are folks with very low self-esteem, so they need someone who they can put down to try to pander to their lack of self worth, or smart-:cus: kids, who's opinions don't matter much, because they don't know much. Love my Spyder . . . it is the most fun I've had in my 60's, and I don't lose a second of sleep over some :cus: who thinks he is superior . . . I bought my Spyder to please me, not him! In fact, :cus: him! By the way . . . it isn't a bike, as bike is short for bicyle , , , two wheels . . . but it is a motorcycle . . . and a :cus: nice one! (where is the :cus: swear jar, Bob?)

I'll be the first one to admit, that I'm completely out in left field, and clueless... :opps:
...But I've heard stories about folks taking this about as seriously as they do College Football... :yikes:

MY spyder and I were invited to ride with a motorcycle club in the south. The club was all HD's and I was very shocked at the invitation. When I mentioned to several of the members, whom I was not well acquainted with, that I rode a spyder this was their response:

"Your out in the wind aren't you? Who cares how many wheels it has!!" And then they handed me a beer.

My point is, it is all in what club you look into. Some are about riding, others are about image.

Just sayin'............

Faran
"Club", versus "Ministries"?? :dontknow:
I just lead a sheltered life up here... What's the difference? :opps:

In our area we have MC (motorcycle club), RC (riding club - not as many of those and a lot are patriotic or lobbying groups) and MM (motorcycle ministry). The MM have to be recognized by the local MC in order to not cause trouble. (Sounds crazy, but it's true.) The MMs will often partner with the MC to serve local charities, but also as an outreach to the bikers themselves. For example, a group of my friends are in a MM called Trinity's Thunder. They've partnered with a Boozefighters club and some other MCs. They go to their rallies and set up a tent and just offer coffee, bike washes, love and a listening ear to anyone who wants to stop by. Christian Motorcyclists Association is the most well-known MM nationally. That help?

We have Bikers for Christ and M25 as well as CMA and some local ministries.

Any new club has to be approved (or acknowledged) by the dominate MC. When our RC was started 5 years ago, the three guys that started it met with all the MCs in the surrounding area to introduce the club, what we were about, and show our patch. There is only one motorcycle club that wont recognize us but they pretty much leave us alone.

I got a call last week from the owner of two vapor shops I get my vapor from and told me the guys in the shops want to know if I was going on the toy run in December. I told him I was planning on it and he asked if I would ride with them. They all ride Harley's and have seen me at his shops, around the beach and in town on the Spyder. I said sure, and he said great and will go to the shop over in Panama City to pick up the toys. To collect money in his shops they have swear jars and I've got a lot invested in those jars but told him, I would give the usual extra to buy more toys.

I met him and his wife about 3 years ago when I blew past them on their Road King and he asked her, what was that? She didn't know but saw me pull into a local bike shop and followed me in. They both thought the Spyder was a cool looking machine and asked a lot of questions about it. During that call he offered his garage to me to store my Spyder in since I don't have a garage and told his son to have a key made up for me. He lives in a warehouse at the industrial park and called Dawg another HD rider to open the door for me. So now my Spyder is sitting inside surrounded by Harley's and they don't seem to mind.

I have been to biker joints where I have gotten negative comments about the Spyder when I first got it and didn't care than and don't care now and when the time comes for these riders, they will be looking for 3 wheels or hang up the leather. One guy saw me set the parking brake and asked what it was? I told him its the center stand and than saw him down on his knees looking under the Spyder saying to his friends I don't see a stand. They all laughed at him saying its a 3 wheeler idiot.:roflblack:

I used to smoke cigarettes and for just over 2 years now I have been using an electronic cigarette that uses vapor. My friend and his wife got into it than told me about it and at the time we were getting it from another shop. They weren't happy with this other shop, so opened their own and now have 3 shops. One in Panama City another on the beach and just opened one in Atlanta, since there weren't any there and got a lot of business from visitors to the beach. They sell both the vapor and different kinds of mods, depending on how big or small of a battery you want.
