• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Lamonster Garage Laser Alignment

Just installed a swaybar and did an alignment on Phil's (pwm) 2012 RT and his alignment was pretty far off and I love that because I knew he was going to be happy with the results and he was.

Phil was so happy with his alignment yesterday that be brought his friend Joe over today. Like Phil he didn't think he had a problem but his was worst than Phil's. He's now very happy with the way his Spyder handles.:doorag:

Joe was very happy. He took me on some back roads I had never seen on the way home. Beautiful day for riding.

Did two more alignments today, one on John's 2013 ST and one on Matthew's 2010 RS. Both were out and both reported back that their Spyder handles better than ever now. If I do a few more of these I might get good at them. ;):doorag:

THANKS

Thanks Lamont! The alignment was spot on and thanks for installing the highway pegs, too. Looking forward to seeing you again at Spyderfest next year!

Just got Stan's 2008 GS back in shape. He had a left tire that was real bad and the alignment said the same thing.:doorag:

If the factory does a laser alignment then why are they all off by so much?? You also mention the "steering angle sensor" needing reset, the BUDS report that I have for my 13 RT/S has that sensor at 6.25 is that way off?? I'm curious about all this as I have complained about my bike feeling "twitchy" since day one.

You should be in limp mode if you are that far off. I hope they reset it when they showed you that. :yikes:

I have no idea why they are so far off. I can say that because we are taking our readings from 148" that makes it look worst than it is in so cases. If you're a 1"+ off that is bad and the fact that most of these are crabbing going down the road is not good either.

That is the last report I seen from them and I don't know if they reset it or not? However I have not been in "limp home mode" ever. I'm still having handling issues and now it look like they are saying my shocks are the issue and there was a bulletin on them. I have the Ron bar installed and that is quite an impressive upgrade, now i'm thinking Elkas but on their web site they don't have any listed for the 13's, I'm going to have to call them I guess....

The steering angle sensor value you see on the BUDS report is just a static value of where the steering is setting at the moment the report is generated. This may or may not be the position the alignment was done.

I just tested this by running a report with my steering angle set at (eyeball) straight ahead. It showed me at -.25 steering angle.

I then moved my bars quite a bit off straight ahead and re generated the BUDS report and it showed my steering angle as 13.5

That explains why you are not in limp mode with the 6.25 angle reading, the report was just generated with your bars cocked to one side.

The best way to see where you are at is get your bars straight to the eye and then check steering angle with Buds and then check with laser again.

I was assuming the bars were straight to start with, no reason to check the steering angle if they're not.

Aligned Charlotte's 2012 RSS today and just got a report back that it handled real good on the way home. That's always good to hear.

Spyder Decal

Hi Lamont, I purchased the Spyder decals from you for the front and back of my wife's 2013, the front lasted about 2,000 miles and now is gone, do you have a replacement. I followed your video to the letter, but away it went, just a circle left up front.

Thanks, Bill Powell 904-891-6858 341 Summerset Dr Jacksonville, FL 32259
