• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone (other than an old git like me) remember the Morgan three wheelers. Had a vee twin engine mounted right at the front, in front of the radiater (either JAP or Matchless, 1000cc) with a drive chain running from the front all the way to the back to drive the rear wheel. Morgan will be 100 years old this year.

Bob

Sure do remember the old Morgan 3 wheeler a great piece of work and al hand made. I see the new Morgans (4 wheelers )still have a 2 year waiting list as I belive the factory has under 200 staff, even todays versions stil have some of the original in them.

OK, Bob and Scotty, you may also remember the Reliant Bond 3 wheeler a fibre glass body with, at the start, either a 122cc, 197cc single or a 250cc twin Villiers engine. The latest version in the 70's was a real hot rod version with the 'big' 700c engine. The only problem is that they tended to get blown over in a high cross wind, I have seen that actual happen to a Bond driving in front of me, scary for the driver and equaly to the viewer, The driver in my case was ok as it was a cliftop road at the coast and grass either side.. I am going to try and attach a couple of pictures.........Barry.

I thought the last Morgan 3 wheeler was produced in 1928, but I've been wrong before.

I've been looking (pre Spyder) at kits for a Mog replicar, the red one in the picture is a kit with a Moto Guzzi engine. Check out the reverse trike website, they've got a list of just about everything that's available.
Hmm, I wonder if I can afford a Spyder AND a Morgan? The new Guzzi 1200 / 4 valve / 6 speed ought to make one fly.

what is it called?

Cool, but for 40 large, I'd get the Tri Rod....

What is this called?

The morgan company is up and strong however they did stop making the 3 wheelers many moons ago but thy are offering a model pedel car to the first 500 buyers, I did not get the price but it looks cool too. Check out their site and all of there new machines plus pictures of some of the originals. www.morgan-motor.co.uk (if this link dosn't work then just type it in). Heres the pedel car picture from their web site....

I sure do remember the Bond Mini car (as featured in my favorite TV comedy series, Only Fools And Horses}. One of my Old Scout masters from MANY years ago had one. Most strange to watch him open the bonnet(hood), put his leg inside, and Kick start the Villiers 197cc engine into life (if he was lucky).
Thanks Deb and Barry for the trip down memory lane. Now what about the Messerschmidt.3 wheeler.

There are actually several videos on the Internet of Reliant Robins racing. Same three wheel format as the Bond...one in front, two in back. Very unstable race car, I might add. I bet they would be a hoot to watch in person.
