• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After the MC recall service...

I had my MC recall service done yesterday, no damage was found. I had no other complaints, so I was in and out in an hour. Later last night, I went back to the garage and I smelled something weird. I worried at first that it might be gasoline, but it wasn't gas. I can't really describe the smell, but I think the new adhesive coverings smell after first getting hot.
Has anyone else experienced a new, odd smell after the recall?

YES smell of burning plastic... found the canister hanging by the hoses right on the exhaust pipe. Clearly the dealer did not get it clipped back in where it belongs!

I did not. Removed the panels two weeks later to install heated grips and the recall foil wraps were properly in place and the cannister was all 'neat and tidy'.

Seems to be..!!

the logical explanation. All the adhisive shielding installed will have some odors as they are heated and cooled. I know when I wrapped the pipes and sprayed them with silicone that smell lasted a long time...but a look under ther will keep you at ease...!! :dontknow:
