When I lived in the Philippines back in the '70s we used to ride to Bagio in the mountains all the time. These are the roads...

My scariest road

I encountered my scariest road in Turkey while riding on a passenger bus. as I remember it was a long uphil straight gravel road, no guard rails, 1,000 foot drop on the left side. The bus driver was tired of following a farm tractor up a head so he pulls out to the left while driving up hill. Looking ahead I see a freight hauler coming down the hill on the left side of us now in the middle of the roadway sandwiched in between the outside and the inside . I told the Sargent Major sitting in the next seat this is scary and he agreed " never seen anyone do that before!"

Ahh, Kennon Road in Benguet (aka "Zig-Zag")! I remember the good old days when it was always exciting and pleasure to head up to Baguio.... enjoy the cool mountain air as well as scent of pine! :clap:
