• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Jan 24th The Lakes Ride - So. Cal.

I would take a little rain over the cold and snow we seem to be stuck with. Its so bad here, we are getting excited that the weather report shows a couple of days in the mid to high 20s this week. Looks like you guys had a nice turnout and a fun ride.

So what's the word on the guy who went down? Do you know what happened. :dontknow:

Broken collar bone and screws with plates in left knee

He pulled out for fast food ahead of the group so only the 2 ryders that were with him saw any thing. one guy was ahead of him and one behind him.

He is an experenced rider and I believe that the Spyder saved him if you were to compare it with a motorcycle for the same event.

Was it a deer or gravel or what? I mean there is no reason to drive off the road unless you were going too fast or there was some sort of bad road condition or something jumped out in front of him. I'm just trying to figure out why he would have ran off the road if he was an experienced rider.

Road conditions were good, no one mentioned animals so if you look at the curve that he was on from the center of the curve to the rock was almost a straight line.

He did miss a head on with a truck in the out side lane as he was on the inside lane of the curve. I don't know if he took the turn to fast and tried to correct from the outside lane because the truck might have gotten him.

Right now he does not remember anything. we will find out as time goes bye.

Wish I knew more, I just don't and I refuse to speculate with out talking to him first.

Hope he heals up soon. If he knock his head chances are he'll never remember what happened. My buddy that crashed on the 4wheeler still doesn't have a clue and it's been a year now.

JEALOUS in Mississauga ont. Canada. :spyder: in the garage under the blanket(to keep it warm) Temp. yesterday was -15 C. and up to are a---- in snow.

Wish him well and a quick recovery. I would like to know what had happened as well when/if he remembers. There's another board more local that I've been visiting that has a forum section for accident discussions. Eventhough it was only for two wheelers, I found it helpful and informative once you got past some of the trolls. Maybe there could be a section here so that others wont find themselves in a similar predicament.

I sure don't remember mine, just the moments leading up to it.

It was an fast moving "Spyder Ryde" with plenty of excitement. This was my first group ride and I couldn't have picked a better group to hit the open road with.
