• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pin Program No longer requires proof

Something seems a bit off here. The top says 5K 25 K and 100,00K. the bottom says 2.5 K, 5 K, 100,00 K. I did not see anything about paying. Do we know if it is a "real" BRP site. I did sent the info in and then (of course) got to wondering.

I don't trust it. Did you see this line at the bottom, "This form was created inside of BRP." Why would it say this? Hmmm something smells fishy to my...:yikes:

I sent a request in for a pin. As Bob D. said--time will tell.

I have been one of the most vocal anti-pin program people on the site. This was due to the fact that there was so much perceived hassle in getting one.

No request for any money--after filling out it said my request was accepted. I will let you know if any weird stuff happens or if it was for real.

Me too!! :D

I too think the pin program is a joke. After going thru the hassle for the 5000 mile pin with my RS, and just not to get the pin. Then trying again for my RT, but gave up with all the hassle it required. If this site is real I will wear the pin with pride, but if not I guess I will go out and buy a bridge :gaah:

By the way, just checked the BRP site, and the request a pin link has not changed.

No way..!!

I would be leary...why would BRP use a google powered form. Also the different mileages and the fact you need no proof. If everyone was taking their roadsters in they could confirm the mileage but we don't and the schedueled service is not at 5000..jmo...

There are some fishy red flags flying, but they don't have anything but my name and a national based email # that I use for non-personal stuff.

the brp wants to hear your story thread was a google form as well!

That link is from the BRP Spyder website.

http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/community/pin-program.html

Do you guys not poke around on BRP's site?? Guess I have more time at my work than others. I mean isn't work the best time to do Spyder research???!!!!;);)

The BRP site does not always seem to be user friendly. I have tried to "buy and build" a new 2014 Spyder--but the last three times I went to the site--the function was not working. Likewise for locating spyder owners per state, finding dealers, etc. I am glad someone is having good luck with the site. Maybe your work computer likes the connection better.

Thanks. It seems the site is legal after all. Now, if I do not go away because of old age, I might get a Spyder pin.
