• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flying Motorcycle - no joking

Don't know about that, But I'm still mad at Poplar Science/Mechanic's.
They both said we'll all have flying cars in our driveway's by now to commute to work in....
:roflblack:

I'm glad it didn't come to pass. Can you imagine distracted pilots? :yikes:

so..!!

how do you deal with traffic jams..?? From the pictures I don't see driving that around the twisties or town. Must be more for getting airborne...:dontknow:

I was going to post Tim Wilson's "Jetpack" song... but it's a bit too sassy :opps:...
But I'll reference it; just in case anybody wants to go listen to it on Youtube... ;)

About 11 or 12 years ago, I had a Honda Reflex, a 250cc CVT scooter, there was a forum for them on the web I frequented, there was a conversion kit that you could put on it that could be swapped out fairly easily, to convert it to a fixed wing ultralight aircraft, I want to say the kit was around $10-12,000, and could be swapped out in maybe an hour or two, if I remember right. It actually looked pretty good, but having minimal depth perception kind of keeps me out of the piloting thing.
I did get a chance to ride in a couple of ultralight aircraft, one was a fixed wing and the other used a parasail, was one of my favorite things that I'd done in my life. If you ever get the chance take a ride on one, to me it was kind of like 3D motorcycling, very exciting to look down and see the ground beneath your feet.

Those were the days

In my youth I built and flew a Quick Silver sea plane. I really loved to fly low and slow at tree top level or along the beach. Those were the days.
