• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. A friend of mine was in a serious motorcycle accident yesterday.

Best wishes for your friends. This is the kind of crash (not a accident) that not can be done about on the bikers part. Accidents can not prevented, this crash could have been by the van driver.

I hope they both recover. I was surprised when they repealed the helmet law in Michigan. I can't understand why anyone would think that this couldn't happen to them.

Sad news..!!

Do wish them all the best and a speedy recovery. It will be a long way back and we can only hope they will see the benefit of a helmet.:pray:

After the helmet law was repealed the insurance industry reported about a 50% increase in health care costs for injuries resulting from motorcycle crashes. We all pay fir thus through higher insurance premiums.

I have a sneaking suspicion the medical corporations and pharmaceutical companies would raise our rates regardless. A very unfortunate accident. I sincerely hope they recover.

Yeah they would, but the insurance companies wouldn't--they compete on price.

Seeing that the bike hit the front right fender not further towards the back suggests the van turned in front of them at the very last second, no way to miss the van.

I hope your friends hell quickly.:pray::pray:

He broke both arms, an elbow, a wrist and an ankle. His girlfriend suffered severe head trauma. He never liked wearing his helmet. I am not an ATGATT kind of guy, but I do wear my helmet.

Here is to hoping everything turns out okay.

Hey Mark,
I sincerely hope your friends are OK. You know how much I'll pray for them!

I'm not ATGATT either, but I always wear a full face helmet. If nothing else, it keeps the bugs off my face!!!

They are fortunate to be alive, and my prayers are with them for a speedy and uneventful recovery. I lost a good friend in July of 2012 when a car turned left in front of him in the middle of the block, to do a U-Turn. He was going 35 MPH but was killed on impact. A cop witnessed the accident. The driver of the car? "I didn't see him!" This is the scariest thing on the road . . . an idiot in a cage, turning in front of you or into you . . .

Our prayers for your friends complete and speedy recovery.
Let's all wear the proper riding gear when we saddle up. Better safe than sorry.

Yea. I can see where you'd be suffering from "chest pain" after running over two other people. Sorry to hear about your friends, and hope they recover soonest!
