A revisit of the ROLO laser alignment

I know this subject matter has been discussed in other threads. I felt it prudent to add another post. I have a 2013 RT-S with almost 40,000 miles of riding experience on the RT. (2010 and 2013 combined) I was fortunate enough to be asked by my dealer Seminole Power Sports in Sanford, Florida, to participate in the ROLO laser alignement system. Greg, at Seminole Power Sports called me (actually emailed) and asked if I would be willing. I said yes and this morning the procedure was done.

I have never had an issue with the cornering on my 13. In fact it has been far superior to my 2010 or any of the 11's or 12's that I rode after my accident. Even on super slabs or single lane straight roads I couldn't say that I had problems that I knew of. However, after the ROLO laser alignment procedure, I can honestly say that there was marked improvement. When asked what I thought about it after my test ride? My comment was and still is that I would definitely spend the money to have this procedure done. It made that much of a difference in my opinion. Now I can see why many others raved about their experience.

Sorry about the length of this post, but I just felt compelled to write this in hopes that if there are any others out there that are "Teetering On The Fence", by all means get this procedure done.

I was one of the first to have it done (Stormin Norman did it for me at his residence in Penn Yan, NY) and never really had any issues either, but what a difference it made in handling after it was done. This was something that the dealers really need to get for their garages.:thumbup:

And it looks like it's a lot easier to perform than the Keystone Kops procedure BRP came up with for the 2013s.

On straight roads at speeds from about 50 mph and up, I had this slight (some have described as) darting or jerking motion back and forth. I just didn't feel that it held a good line. I also experienced a different "wear" on my front tires than what I experienced with my 2010 RT. If I recall correctly, I got around 21 or 22,000 on the front tires of my 2010 RT. I'm at 14,000 right now, and I'm sure I'll be needing new fronts in another 3,000 miles.

Addtionally, the overall experience of "holding its line" is much better since the alignment.

Thanks, I'm a new 2013 RT owner and just curious about steering response. I "think" I have felt a darting at times, but also think it is me, as I learn to handle the unit. My old trike had more push and pull involved in steering.

Please, if you can, have the laser alignment by ROLO done. I think you will be impressed.

Now this is just "our" guarantee...( Mike and Norm)

The Spyder will ride better after the Laser Alignment...OR YOU DON"T PAY....so you have nothing to loose.Try finding a guarantee like that anywhere ...are we cocky? NO.. Mike just knows his stuff.
