Ordered mine in May, got it two weeks ago, and my SO spirited it away for a Christmas present (who needs a rack in the NorthWet winter????). So I'll tell you if I like it in January, when I finally get to install it….. :gaah:

We just got another shipment of the Big Bike Parts Luggage Racks in a few days ago. We have several left right now that are not spoken for. We do have a lot more coming in.

What to do with the Antenna

I just ordered this Trunk Rack, while looking to the trunk looks as I will not be able to use it for language that is wider then the rack since the antenna is in the way.

Any experience with this issue?

Don't center luggage on it or get a shorter antenna or a bag that's not so wide. I did the last one. Taller and narrower bag.

HIGH MOUNT LIGHT CAUTION

One cautions regarding racks on RTs. You may not be able to mount a HML if the rack follows the truck lid angle.

the BRP trunk rack interfers with the HML. WE USE A Diamond R which is a flat rack. Fits and easy to install and looks great. JMHO.

:agree: Sold my half cover & bought a full cover from Bib Bike Parts. Fits fine, cost less than the BRP half cover. here is the link.

This is the rack that I have as well. Full cover fits over it, no problem.

Pirate looks at --
if the white Rt in your sig is the bike you are thinking of putting that rack on, be forwarded. It will not clear your HML.

You don't want a bag much larger than the width of the rack because there is a weight limitation as to how much stress the trunk lid and trunk shell ( the colored part of the trunk lid) can take. The bigger the bag, the heavier one will tend to pack it.

yep I have been through that, and bummed that it won't work. But I think the one Dan has will still work.

Also check out Diamond R. I think he is a Sponsers here. A bit pricie but a great looking great functioning rack.
