• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This Saturday I am adding the fog light kit and the heated hand grips on my 2013 ST-S. Any advice or tips to make life easy on me, I am thinking it is going to take me about 4 hours to do bothm, I will take somes pics of the process.

:lecturef_smilie: follow the instruction sheets to the letter! BRP does a pretty good job with them.
Good Luck, and we'll want to hear how it went! :2thumbs:

Bring your laptop out to the garage so you can look up tips while you are working and if you have the shop manual on your laptop it will be handy. Nuts and bolts have a way of disappearing on the Spyder to never be found again so put tape or something over any holes that you could drop something in.

Good luck with your projects.

I am very interested in how you do adding the fog lights as that is one of the items high on my mod list for my ST-S.

I presume you picked up the fog light kit from BRP. Did you get it for less than $400?

I added the heated grips to mine today and it was pretty easy. Biggest thing is having some right angle short torx drivers to remove the handle bar rear covers.

I got them both from Robs performance and paid 299 for the fog light kit and 149 for the heated grips and shipping was like 18. So I think I got a good deal, I will let you know how it goes.
