• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyders Across the Straits of Mackinac and through the UP of Michigan in 2014.

My wife devl and I have traveled the Upper Peninsula of Michigan extensively for many years, she has an 08 spYder we live in Northeast Michigan (Oscoda). If you are planning a ride up there I would suggest you check out U.P Cruising website they rate all the biker friendly places to go and rate the roads that are best for m/c touring.

Thanks for the link RTaz.

I have been going to the UP every year to snowmobile, but that is a whole different animal than knowing what roads are best for biking. This should be a big help.

When the time gets closer maybe you wouldn't mind me picking your brain a little as to where we should ride. The one road I know I like is highway 2. We take that road for a spell when going to Grand Marais to snowmobile, it is beautiful.

Mackinac

Would be interested. Early May works as we can combine the trip with attending our niece's graduation from Lake State.

UP Michigan

Good road to ryde H58 runs between Grand Marais and Munising. It was a gravel road paved in 2010 very scenic ryde.

Been riding up there for many years, I used to put on an annual event for a honda club I was a State representative for, we had up to 100 bike go on it for like 10yrs. I would be happy to share my info on rides and places to see and stay at while you are up there. It all depends on where you plan on going. I will say H-58 (Hurricane Highway)and Curly Lewis Hwy (Brimely Rd.west) are two great roads but I also know of some that may not be as well known.
