• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Scheduled maintenance checklist

I'm relatively new to SpyderLovers and being a Sypder owner myself. Not sure if anyone that does their own scheduled maintenance work is interested in using checklists that I put together for keeping track of the work performed by yourself, but if anyone would like a copy, just PM me and I will gladly share them. They are based on the new maintenance schedule provided by BRP. They cover the following maintenance periods (600mi, 4600mi, 9300mi, 1400mi, 18600mi, 23000mi and 28000mi). I wanted something to document the work that I do on my Spyder. I looked on the Forum, but didn't see anywhere to upload the documents for individuals to later download as needed. If there is that capability, just let me know and I will gladly just upload them... also if anyone notices anything missing, or other needed changes, just PM me and I will make changes.

I would do my own oil changes and lubrication of grease points but I have no way of knowing about software up grades. The dealer I go to now (not the one I bought the bike from) does a great job. I find that the bike seems to preform better after they work on it and they have great pricing. When or if I ever buy another spyder it will be from them. They charge for the oil change lub but not for the software up grade. LOVE that about a dealer.:clap::clap:

Maintenance Work

Yellhelp - Glad to hear you've found such a great dealer to do your scheduled maintenance and other work. Not that I have a problem with having a dealer do the work, but for me it's a 350 mile trip each way to the nearest authorized dealer, so for me it's more economically feasible for me to do as much of the work that I can and make the long trip to the dealer when something comes up that I can't handle.
