• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2012 RTS and I didn't like the 2 front painted rims, so I purchased the Chrome rims on Ebay and had the dealership put them on today. They really do sparkle up the front of the bike. So from me, 2 :thumbup:.

Congrats! Chrome rims are in my future too...but I want the hand brake installed on my RT-s SE5 first.

why would you want chrome wheels and a hand brake? its a honest question. you have to clean chrome more often, you could be riding not cleaning and why do you need a hand brake? what is wrong with the electronic one?

Shawn

Nothing's "wrong"'with the electronic one... But I like the feel of a hand brake. Chrome is just a personal preference. I don't mind cleaning it.

so I lets leave the Chrome thing aside, so when you say hand brake you meen adding a right hand brake handle right? this is not for parking it is for normal braking?

If that is the case would that be for front only or for all brakes? would that get rid of the foot pedal brake? I take it that someone has a kit out there for this?

Now I am curious to see hao far they have thought this out.

Shawn

Congrats..!!

the chrome is really nice and adds to the chrome already on the roadster. The painted work much better on the RS/RSS models which have no other chrome trim.

As to the hand brake..it can only work the same as the foot brake. You can not (as yet no one has I think) separate the system. The kits available only actuate the foot system...

Pic's would be nice..!!

Hi Shawn,
Chupaca is correct. It's a kit that actuates the foot brake. When you depress the hand brake, you can see the foot brake going down too.

Great for us lazy people that don't want to take their feet off the highway pegs! :)
