• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

frunk spring trick?

I remember seeing several threads about putting a spring in to pop open the frunk but cannot locate any of them right now. Anybody help me out?

I still think this is the easiest and best looking fix! Cut, bend and drop in place. No assembly required!

I tried it and then went the other way with the #155 spring. My concern was the trunk peg/post (for lack of a better word) would eventually work its way intro the spring. The other way is just as easy. As for best looking, that is in the eye of the beholder.

Arctic,

I got ahead of myself ; I thought we were talking about this thread:

Also, like Scotty mentioned in the above link, BRP sells their own spring set up; I believe for the GS/RS. I think someone mentioned in the 2012 models RS the spring was there.

My 2012 and my friends 2011 RS's both have them stock.
The OEM part # is 705003911 and cost about $3
Thanks drew! I'll order one with my next oil change kit. That way I don't have to wander around a hardware store looking for a spring:2thumbs:
