There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. No Android cell phone interface for ST Limited?!?!?!

It was hard for me to believe when I brought my ST LTD home a few weeks ago that it would interface with the IPhone, but not an Android cell. Last quarter Android sold more mobile devices that Apple did, so to exclude it from compatibility with the :ani29: was super disappointing to say the least. I'm betting that someone on this forum has done some sort of conversion or knows where to buy a conversion kit to make my Android phone compatible with the ST too. I'd love to listen to the tunes on my phone, or take calls, but the owners manual states compatibility with the IPhone/IPod only:banghead:

Here's to hoping the helpful suggestions start pouring in...

What kind of integration are you looking for? As far as the iPhone goes, the integration is using the ipod adapter so you can control your playlists and such for playing music.

Android offers no such animal that I'm aware of. only an earbud jack, which you may have got the DIN to 3.5mm adapter with the LTD.

As far as phone calls and such, that would be achieved through the Bluetooth, and the Zumo GPS. I'm not sure if ST limiteds come with a Zumo, or not...

Hi Dave...yes, the Limited comes with the Zumo. According to the salesman when i bought it, i can take phone calls as you stated, but it doesn't work with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2:mad:
Ive tried everything I know as I work in the IT industry and am tech savvy...but nothing has worked so far. Thanks for your input.

Do you have bluetooth headsets? I don't have a Zumo with my RT (2012 A&C) but I ride with folks who have the limiteds, with the Zumo. They just pair the Zumo with their phone, and with their headset (Sena, or Scala), and when they get a call, it displays on the GPS, then they can accept it, or reject it from the GPS.

Thanks Dave...it is the headsets I am missing. I assumed that the call would come through the built-in speakers on the Spyder (as it does in my SUV). I have not picked out a Bluetooth headset yet, but am thinking of the Scala after exhaustive research. I have not pulled the plug because I have to either choose to go with the pair set (2 people communication) or buy 3 single units @ $299 each to be able to talk to 3 people according to the Can Am salesman at the dealership. I ride with my son each day (drop off to school and pick him up) but also ride 2-up with my girlfriend frequently. My desire is to have 1 set that will let me talk to both of them...but the dealer says the only way to achieve that is to buy 3 if the individual sets. Too rich for my blood right now, especially after dropping $30K on the Spyder itself!!!

We have the Sena SMH-10, and love them. If you will never talk to both at the same time (on the same ride), you could go with 2 units, and get an extra helmet mount. Then you would have a rider unit, and a passenger unit. The actual buletooth piece simply would unplug from one helmet, and plug into the other.

Hmmm...i asked the dealer how hard it would be to swap out units to put in different helmets and he said it was a pain in the rear (he used another word though) and suggested that i'd tire of that quickly. I'd hate to think he was just trying to add $$$ to the sale rather than what would be best for me. i already dropped money on the Spyder, 2 Shoei helmets, a cover for the spyder and 2 sets of gloves.

If you are looking for Helmet Bluetooth Headsets, take a look at the Interphone F3 or F5's. We have a set and they work perfectly in every way. Priced right too.:yes: Easy to install and computable with all types of helmets.

I'll make you a video in a bit...

Dave...thanks for the video!!!
Just what I needed and I think you made my decision much easier. I'm definitely going with the pair set (2 people communication) and just swap out the set when riding with my girlfriend versus riding with my 7 year old son. I really appreciate you taking the time to make the instructional video. Do you know if the model you are using would fit inside of a full face shoei helmet? I'm referring to the microphone boom...I understand not all of them will fit on the inside of a full face, which I have. My son has a Modular, so it won't be an issue for his helmet.

Frank G...thanks for the recommendation of the
Interphone F3 and F5. I hadn't researched that brand, but will check into them :-)

I don't know whether it will fit in a full face helmet. My Scorpion is a modular, and it goes under the chin bar, but not a whole lot of room. Another option - I don't know if it's available through Sena, but the full face comm setups sometimes come with a microphone and a wire, that you can velcro into the helmet, rather than the mic boom. Our full face Chatterbox setup had those.

You can get a set of Senas with the universal mic setup. I have this set. It comes with the boom mic and a flat wired mic that velcros to the chin bar. My wife and I use the wired flat mic in our full face helmets (Scorpion). Call Motorcycle Dave a sponsor on this site. The cost was around $270. To see the different sets look on revzilla.com they have a lot of videos of how they work.

Thanks Highwayman2013...the info is much appreciated. I'd rather go with the recommendation of others rather than blindly making a choice :)
