There's actually quite a story about trying to load an SE 5 equipped bike into a trailer when you don't have any brakes...
Well...
The brakelights were stuck on, and moving the pedal through it's normal range wasn't enough to put out the fires.
So I'm on my back up under the bike with my head up against the catalytic converter,,,(GOTTA remove dat sumbitch...)
I disconnect the rod that connects the pedal to the rear bellcrank that makes everything get "Stoppy" when the pedal is mashed.
The microswritch that handles brankelight duties has a couple of little tabs that get moved as the bellcrank moves; so I'm playing with the bellcrank, and it starts raining tiny parts on me!
So now that everything is pretty well-busted; my work is done. I zip-tie the crank so that the lights stay out, and I crawl out from under it. Now I know that it's needing a trailer trip to the dealer.
I borrow a trailer from a riding buddy, and now we've just got to get it loaded. I push it out of the garage and fire it up... Intending to drive it up on with no stopping power whatsover! (unless you count "Flintstoning" it...) I put the bike into gear, and it starts creeping off WAY faster than I wanted... so I shut if off... IN GEAR!!!
How do you start an RT that's in gear? You push on the brakepedal that I just disconnected! :gaah:
Now it's down to pure muscle; I yell for help, and Sonny-Boy comes running...
Me on the left, him on the right, and the Missus dead-center..
I now have to explain to her that if I yell for her to get out of the way; there's no time for arguing or not hearing me...
We now sort out the plan of attack; we'll push until it's on, or it rolls back over us!
But just in case we meet with success; I'll stop once the bike hits the top of the ramp, and head up front to keep it front smashing up the front end on the back of the truck...
Well; it all worked out pretty much the way we planned, but my blood pressure was high enough to knock all of the scale off my pipes for sure!
