• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fuel guage on RT.

6 months ago I disconnected the fuel and temp guage.installed oil pressure and battery guages.
The central fuel guage has worked perfectly until today. All the bars full going down to 1 bar.Today I filled after 2 hrs riding in a light drizzle. The top 2 bars show as empty.Usually I have done about 60 to 70 miles when it gets to this stage.I just filled it again same thing.Everything else works properly and guess its not such a problem to me as I zero the guage when I fill and go to 120 miles and then refill.Anybody know a reason for the way the guage is behaving.

Your fuel gauge issue seem to be a problem that I have not seen discussed before. I have both RT's with disconnected analog guages and have not had any problems like that. The digital guages have performed flawlessly for me.

Experts will come on and perhaps give you an answer. Did this start happening after the auxilliary gauges were installed? It could be an electrical glitch. One other possibility--is this the early stages of a cluster malfunction?

Me thinks that you thought you had completely filled up, but actually had not. I have found that when I have completely filled on a normal temperature day, that I will get 27- 30 miles before the first bar drops, Just today I filled up and when the gas nozzle clicked I puled it out knowing I had not completely filled the entire tank and sure enough first bar was empty and second bar dropped after about 15 miles. So thats my theory and I am sticking to it :p:D

PS, Also I have run out of gas 3 times thinking I could get a little more out of her, so maybe refill a little sooner this time ivor!

Thanks for the replies. We are on a road trip so am fueling at least twice a day.It does not show full every time I fuel.At least 2 bars from the top.The tank is definitely full as I check it visually.Everything is the same.I am hoping its just the sender in the tank as everything else is normal.Hopefully that's all it is a minor little thing that happens frequently on cars,Motorhomes etc. Will take it to my dealer when I return home in a weeks time.
