• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My friends, I'm thinking to buy a Bajaron bar and a communication system (stock) for my RT-S, since I do prefer to be wired than to be concerned to have the bluetooth stuff charged all the time. The problem is that here, in Brazil, we do not have really good dealers. Probably, I will have to install everything myself. The question is: how hard is to install both things ? Do the accessories come with detailed instructions ? Is it reasonable to expect that a common rider be able to perform the tasks ? Please, I will appreciate very much your help to make my buying decision easier. Greetings from the sunny Brazil.

PS: BTW, I do have the maintenance manual (green)...

Well..!!

the bajaron sway bar has good easy to follow instructions. As to the sound system, if it is a stock system with the wiring harness should be easy enough. If you have the shop manual (green manuals online) you should have no problem..good luck..!! :thumbup:
 
BajaRon's AntiSwayBar is actually pretty darn easy... make sure that you can get your bike lifted up high-enough to crawl under it and work with some wrenches...:thumbup:
I don't know about the intercom system; but if you can read the instructions; you should be good to go! :2thumbs:
EDIT: What year is your bike? The 2013s will require more lift-height to do the job...
I think that Rab-Tech took pictures of his bike when it was lifted up...

So good to hear from S. America. I travelled just about everywhere for almost 40 years. Spent a lot of time in Brazil and flew helicopters in Sierra Norte in the 60s. Where are you living? The best helicopter mechanic I have ever known lives in Petropolis, he'd be excited to help you, now that he's retired and resting!!

Good luck and be sure to ask questions here. Many (not me) are really top notch and can help with most anything, even on a daily basis!!

What year is your RT-S? If it is a 2012 or earlier you should have no problems installing the BajaRon sway bar. If you have a 2013 it is a little more difficult as you have to raise the Spyder off the ground higher than most motorcycle lifts will go.

Hi, Tuck ! I live in Brasilia, Federal District... I am a helicopter pilot too. I got my first FAA license flying out the Group 6 Aviation, in Van Nuys, CA. I spent 4 years living in Fort Collins (CO) during my PhD at CSU. I wish I was closer to Petropolis (about 600 mi away from here). I love SL... It is already home for me. Mine is a 2011/2012. Glad to have the one that is supposed to be easier to do the install. Actually I am ready to order all the stuff. I was just afraid to not be able to put everything together. I'm starting to get more optimist, though ... Cheers,
