Thanks to SL Forum I avoided freaking out today  I went for a 75mi ride all was good did some twistys practicing my control and headed for my favorite gas station to fill up. All done turn the key and get the " Engine overheated " warning followed by the " Limp Home" mode upon restart. Well I have read several threads on this and blipped the throttle shut if off and restarted codes gone ( but not forgotten).
Now the question is Where does it get that info for the engine overheated condition. My digital gauge was at 5 bars( 1/2) as it had been all ride at restart. No indication of over heating. I know about the heat soak so there must be another sensor in the engine separate from the gauge sensor correct? In 300mi I have had two stalls at stop signs ( I read about this common break in issue too  ) and now this issue. My Cruise control never worked (switch is on order for 2 weeks a little excessive since I can buy stuff from Canada on ebay and get it next day or 5 days at most.) and I have boogers inside my gauge lens (on order too) the bloom is beginning to fall off the rose.....
