• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Registered on Spyderryder site

Must be my lucky day, but I finally went on the Spyderryder site and registered and it went smoothly on the first try. The only thing I didn't understand was the part where they e-mailed me my confirmation and stated that I needed to go back on and confirm my registration. I did that and it showed my correct login information but it also had the following message followed with my owner code:

Following the registration of a used Spyder, we confirm your owner code: #########

Do you think this means they think my Spyder was a used one? Or does (did) this message appear on every registration? Just wondered ... not sure it matters but if no other new Spyder owners got it, maybe I'll try an e-mail contact with them.

Thanks all .... except Scotty who's stuck in Spyderryder never-never land:(.

Message From Never-Never Land

Congratulations on a successful registration...you lucky dog! That email confirmation, even if goofed up, was the important part. Not getting it put me into Never-Never Land. :D I wouldn't put much stock in the used Spyder thing. Nothing they do on their Web site is ever right, so why should that message be any different?

Hey Scotty;

I was never able to registeron my own but I did send an e-mail with a complaint about not being able to change from being an enthusiast to an owner. I received a confirmation e-mail stating that the had changed my status and completed my registration. Now I am listed as an owner.

Hope this will help but I know you have already contacted them

You did better than I did. Five emails, they answered two. First was never answered, second said they were working on it, third said said it would be rectified soon. Last two without responses. I figure nine months is long enough to dink around with these amateurs. I am no longer interested, I guess.

Keep on registering it with the same info until the website tell you that the selected user name is taken and not available. Then request a password reset. Tada ... you are done. Now you should be able to get in. This might take a few days but try a few times each day. That's how I finally got in.:D

Thats the same message I received as well, when I read it I tried to change it thinking I had 'clicked' on the wrong item, but whatever I did it gave the same message...It took almost 6 months to finall get their system to accept anything so I let it be. One fine day they might get around to fixing their site, but don't hold your breath..........

Hmmmm, never heard of that one. I registered a while back when it was the old site and then I got in the new site but had trouble finding my way around. I did manage to locate myself on the map and post a pic but it took a while. It's definitely not a user friendly site. Email them and ask.

I looked back and I still had the email they sent me when I registered. And it said the same as yours registration of a used Spyder.

They almost lost me anyway.

After I got my owner card I was able to get in correct but even then the map messed up. Since I have a large area rural zip code it just "guessed" my location and put me half way to Bay Minete. For you Alabama folks I am actualy a "Farm Boy" living about a mile from the intersection of US-90 and Baldwin CR-87
