Spyder Loader that's peaked my interest.....

Has anyone talked about this loading invention yet? I found this to be very interesting and definitely on my radar.....

Very cool for sure! but wouldn't the wind coming in the wrong way on the windshield cause problems. I would think the wind force would be great which may break the windshield or place to much stress on the brackets. The only other thing is I would be scared to death with the angle the Spyder gets when loading and unloading. Not saying I wouldn't do it but would be nervous the entire process.

The only silly thing I would say is why not ride the Spyder? Unless your having to deal with gremlins.

I saw one of these in person at the local Harley dealer. They were loading an Ultra Classic and it got stuck half way up. Two to three hours later it was still stuck. Never found out what happened as I had to leave. The only issue is that you have to dedicate a pickup truck for this, while a traditional trailer can be disconnected.

Saw one in'09, Rampage brand, fairly expensive, and be sure to remove the windshield, or the wind will do it for you!

We have had this one come around a couple of times. All the above plus you need to have some 2x4's to keep the nose piece on the spyder...:thumbup:

Their doing it totally wrong, the truck should be backed into a ditch on the side of the road. You see lawn mowers and 4 wheelers loaded like that all the time out here in the sticks.

Hmm....didn't think about the ditch loading. Good point, they could have created a lower angle so that the nose is not in jeopardy. And also good call on the windshield...

Exactly how wide is the bed opening on a fullsized truck? I'll bet that an RT would be a REALLY tight fit...
...thiis is even without considering the potential for damage to the windshield!

I have a GMC and it's 62.5" according to online specs. But, notice the front tires stay on the tailgate:thumbup:

Ditch is a good way, But you'll need a ditch where you're going to unload.. Anyway for the price of that thing you can buy an enclosed trailer. My dealer uses one on a rat pickup to deliver bikes to customers, And that's all the truck is used for....

Last summer while at a campground a motor home towing a pick up with a GW Trike in it pulled in next to us. Very similar mechanism but the trike was facing forward when loaded and it seemed to be mostly hydrolic.

The GW is like the T/G, A conventional Trike' and will only work with that lift when the Trike is facing forward....
