• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT spy photos...

That one has the new 800 CC R-TEC 2 stroke in it. Couldn't anybody tell by the sound of the exhaust? :roflblack: :roflblack:

Thank you for posting the "spy" pictures of the 2014. I also appreciate the posting of the comparison to the 2013. There are subtle differences in the body that I like. I also like the orange color. Someone had also mentioned in a previous thread the color candy apple red. Time will tell.

I was wondering how the 2014 situation would play out with the current issues going on with the 2013. Yesterday I was thinking, only three more months (End of September) is the time the new information is given out about the next model year.

I am still guessing we are going to be looking at some tupperware changes and colors as the big stuff to look forward to. With all the issues about heat failures, I would be very surprised if BRP jumps in with a new engine (bigger and shaft drive). I am thinking they need to get the 2013 issues solved before they can go onward and upward.:popcorn::popcorn:

I was thinking of having mine painted a burnt orange color. The spy photos look pretty close, will now hold off, and hope that there are some internal improvements and put that money as a down payment!!!!

Was that a firetruck following it?.......Burnt Orange?.....JUST kidding BRP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I'm sure it will be ok....

If they were thinking of calling the color burnt orange they may have changed it to something non fire related now. :roflblack::roflblack: I would hope that they haven't made major changes again they need to work out the kinks in the 2013 first. If they do have a totally new model with new engine and a bunch of other changes I fear that the issues on the 2013 will become something that they won't want to spend much energy fixing.

Nah... Products move forward. Anything they learned from the 2013's can be applied before they build the 2014's. This obviously is a test mule, and may already have tweaks learned from the 2013's incorporated.

I wouldn't rule out anything.

I imagine the 2014 tweaks will be tuperware and colors as well, but some of these tweaks may be centered around owner feedback, and that is always a great message to deliver new models to/on.

***I am still waiting for a higher output motor. I'm just not holding my breath... but I am holding onto my 08 for now. :)

I wish they had included the missing upper brake light instead of making owners resort to 3rd party solutions. Otherwise, hopefully they have addressed the overheating problem that can cause fires and hot feet.

Kinda like the color. Candy colors are luscious! Hope they offer several.

Definitely looks like they reworked the front air intake area hopefully they eliminated the hot foot and made room for a bigger engine :2excited::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

I imagine that would be an OR question...

"We fixed the airflow... Now you can choose between a bigger engine, OR a cooler foot!!!" :roflblack::roflblack:

Like the looks of it. I'll bide my time as well. Wonder if any of our SL family will be testing the new models like they did for the '13s.

Skid-plate under the front?

I'm wondering about that, too. It looks like the center part of the bottom of the nose is black. Do you suppose they "hardened" the nose so we wouldn't have to buy a skid plate?

I don't see how you can see more space for a larger engine. Do tell?

Also, it looks to me like the top of the frunk is a little lower, but it would be hard to tell without seeing the 2014 right next to the 2013 or earlier.

We've all got to remember; Companies will "play the game" in these situations, just to keep the truth from leaking out...
The bodywork may have been doctored up a bit, and the paint may even be a one-off...
But it IS fun to speculate! ;)

Is it my imagination, or does that look like a big bowler hat on that chase car?

Wow - LOVE the color AND the body shape change!

This may convince my hubby to finally jump on the three wheel bandwagon! And, I wouldn't mind trading off to this one, sometimes, also!
