• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3 year old gas.. Still Good???

Just put it in a nice red gas can and set it in your front yard close to the street and see how long it takes to come up missing.

I did that with a 100lb propane cylinder that had a broken valve, it was about 1/4 full, put the safety cap on it and left it out in the front yard at our cabin, came back the following weekend and it was gone! Hurray!

 just thought I'd have some fun with you guys. I figured the "pour it through a sock" statement would give it away. :roflblack:

Psychology has always intrigued me... Probably should have done that, rather than technology for a living...

Hey Bob, love the Brain Games show. Had a few on the DVR and we watched them last night.

I did see the joke emoticon by the way.

I had three year old BOAT gas that I put in a new lawnmower to save the gas. $93 in parts and labor later I "really save a lot on that two gallons of gas!"

NO - is also my thoughts.

A few years ago I had about 10 gallons of 9 year old gas that we siphoned out of a jetski that was given to us. The ski was winterized and sat behind a friends old shed untouched for 9 years. The gas reeked of mice piss and stale gas. Gas looked like varnish!
Used it all summer in the mower and it didn't miss a beat! It smelled really bad when filling up the mower though....:D

No way I'd put it in the Spyder... or a lawnmower. Perhaps in your car.. maybe 1 gallon to 10 of new gas.

Otherwise check with your local Advance Auto. They take used oil and other products... and gas is a petroleum product so they might take it.

Don't pour it out on the ground.

"Pour it through a sock" did give it away. I mean really, everyone knows you use a nylon stocking and not a sock.:roflblack:

Arctic: You are very good. Now that it was pointed out--the joke symbol was missed by me also. I am going to be wery wery careful on anything you post around April Fools day. :roflblack:

Thank's for keeping us entertained on a somewhat slow day.

if there was a cheap way of getting it to nj, i'd put it in my neighbors snowblower. the neighbor that gets up at 3 am. in the morning and wakes the whole neighborhood up while clearing his driveway. inconsiderate b:cus:terd. i've been meaning to have a talk with him, but this just might work better than the talk!nojoke

I don't think all members were entertained based on posts in other threads :roflblack:

Maybe you need to throw out a chunk of steel cable into the fresh snow and hope he finds it on his first pass:yikes:
