• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What..!!

No pic's, no install comments, color choices etc....glad they worked out for you...!! :roflblack:

My Original Grip Buddies lasted less than a year before they both started separating in the groove pattern. Good luck with yours.

Have them on the Spyder and the KTM and am very happy with them. The ones on the Spyder (his old style)are showing abrasion wear but that's to be expected when used in the twisties as much as they are.

He has what is called 'shark skin' now. Maybe I'll give those a go. I think you and I are talking two different types of wear. My grips do not have abrasion wear.

I put the originals on and they didn"t last a year, wore flat spots on both grips. I ordered the Shark Skin this time and they feel more substancial. Time will tell, but I like the size and feel very much.

Got the shark skin on the KTM. Not for enough miles to give a fair report tho.

Last year when I ordered they were a site sponsor. I went to the home page here and I can't find them. Did you order direct from OGB web site?

I had them on my 4 gold wings and my bmw bikes and they have never came apart on me.? what i have done to the old ones was to sew the put then slid them on and as to day on my gold wing with over 89,000 miles still great. Thanks Dave R. for them..

I had mixed results with the GB's. I bought a set for each RT. I used my set for one season. I did not feel they were good when it came to using my heated grips. I got about one half heat, compared to no GB's mounted. It took about 20 minutes before I was feeling that. No, there was nothing wrong with my heated grips--they felt fine when I removed the GB's.

Akspyderlady likes them on hers because it makes the grip feel fatter. She likes that for control purposes. Same issue with the heat though. She still uses hers this season, mine are off the machine and won't be going back on.

Love 'Em

I put a pair on my RT, then went on a 3200-mile jaunt from PA over Lake Huron, thru Sault Ste Marie, across the UP of Michigan, full circle around Lake Superior along the MN and Ontario shorelines and back over Huron to Thousand Islands and home to PA. Just got back and immediately ordered another pair for my V-Strom. My only complaint is that I didn't know about them years' ago.

Hopefully the new material wears well. If not, so what? For the price I'd replace them every year if I had to. I only had the heat on twice in chilly mornings in Ontario and I got heat. It took longer for sure and I can't say if it was as hot as before 'cause the conditions weren't that bad. I'll find out when winter comes. If I have to take them off for really cold weather, so be it. No big deal. But I'm optimistic I won't have to.

TRY "GRIP PUPPIES"

Bob sorry they are the grip puppies.
They are great.
I've used "GRIP PUPPIES" for years on my Burgman, GoldWing, Yamaha FJR-1300, and now my Spyder RT-S. I've never had one come apart, compress, or prevent the heat from coming through. They are sized right, and very easy to install. I like the increased diameter and the padding. And, they DO NOT soak up any water (rain). CapNCrunch
