• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In the video, a white-and-black dog comes upon a dead puppy and immediately sets about calmly and methodically burying it by pushing dirt over the body with its snout. The dog takes about three minutes to complete the task before walking away slowly.http://www.pawnation.com/2013/06/24...d=maing-grid7|main5|dl5|sec1_lnk2&pLid=335085..I'm at a loss for words with this one...I've always thought that we'd be better persons if we just followed the examples set by some unbelieveable animals....

Another Touching Animal Story

Very touching and reminds me of my favorite Paul Harvery "Rest of the Story" ... briefly:

There was a devastating house fire somewhere in the United States several years ago. Fire department on scene and unable to get inside the house to attempt saving of the one family member that was left inside -- an infant that the parents were not able to reach themselves before they had to get out or perish in the flames. After the fire was out, the investigators move in and find the family dog; a large black lab that was obviously no longer with us and ...sniff ... they found the infant UNDER the dog .....sniff .... ALIVE!

Talk about man's best friend!

Best Regards .... Ann

Dogs have uncanny abilities sometimes.

Back when I lived in Wisconsin, we had a neighborhood dog (Mesaba--a beautiful husky) that would come to visit our brown lab named Cocoa.

Cocoa got very sick and had to be put down. The morning I was to take Cocoa to the vet, Mesaba showed up in our yard about an hour before I had to go. He just layed on the grass looking at our house with his head on both paws.

He watched intently as I loaded Cocoa aboard our van for the ride to the vet. The husky stayed about 100 feet off and just watched the proceedings with his head on his paws.

As I drove out of the driveway, Mesaba got up and did a mournful howl (Aroooooooooooooo) to say farewell to Cocoa. Mesaba never came back to our home after that--although I saw him in the neighborhood.

Amazing-

Never under-estimate the ability or "Smarts" God's Creatures have.

Yes, we are to be over and above the animals, but.....they are very smart and we don't give them credit.

WOW!

Thanks for sharing! ;)

That's for sure. When one of our dogs went limp, we knew something bad had happened, scooped her up and took her to the vet. We were so caught up in the moment, we forgot about our other dog. When we got home, he knew she wasn't coming back and had worked himself into a frenzy! He was always a mellow dog and well adjusted. Not this night. It took days for him to face the loss of his buddy. It tore us up twice as bad watching him mourn. He needed us as bad as she did at that time. We'll never make that mistake again. :(

Well I went back and viewed it again after I had a chance to let the preconceived notions pass by...
I really hate to burst anybody's bubble, and I REALLY do hope that I'm wrong... :opps:
That dog simply may have been viewing the dead puppy as a food source to hide...:yikes:
I've watched Tink hide stuff in the yard; a lot of what that dog did sure looks familiar!
I'm sorry... but that's the other option that is available here...
and I DO hope that I'm wrong!

Had to put our 18 yr. old kitty to sleep last Wed. All 3 of our dogs keep going in the back bedroom to try to look for perky the cat. Still trying to find him!!

Just 2 things to say about this.

Things like this video bring a couple of things to mind. First, when people say something about dumb animals. Most animals aren't drumb but a lot of people are. Second, I have to just shake my head when ladies compare men to dogs. I think that is an insult to dogs. If men were really dogs, they would be more loyal, trustworthy and lovable. I just hope that someday I can be as good a person as all the dogs that I know think I am. JMO. Ain't nothing humble about it.
