• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Finish protection....

I saw an ad on TV last night for a brush applied clear film that they showed on the front end of a cage. It is removable like film. I don't remember the name of the product but has anyone used anything similar on their Spyder. I wonder if Pete has a clear wrap.

Can't help with the "brush applied clear film" but I do know that Pete offers a clear wrap.

+1 Pete makes a clear wrap. I haven't heard of the brush on ones but I've seen clear Plasti-Dip and 3M Paint Defender spray.

Pete just applied a spray to my fenders, for protection and color change...and clear wrap on my spyder let me go find a pic the front is clear with print on it and the fenders is the spray...Pete is the bestnew spyder look.jpg

Ssw a commercial for this last night and thought it was interesting. Made by 3M you spray it on and it is removable. Dries to a clear plastic film that is removable.

Hi guys, yes all those products are available. It really depends on the level of protection you want. We offer our pre-cut 8mil paint protection film kits for:RT, ST, RS, RSS, GS models.
This film will provide the best protection for your Spyder due to thickness but may require professional install although we have had a number of members purchase the pre-cut kits from us & apply
themselves. We offer ala-cart so you can choose what pieces you want. See photo of us applying paint protection film here.
Here are the pre-cut panels we have available for the ST/ RS/ RSS/ GS.
Here are the pre-cut panels we have for the RT

We used a combination of transparent wrapping film 3.57mil and paint protection 8mil on Charlyne's Spyder.
The biggest down fall to paint protection film is that it is not cheap & may require professional installation.
But durability and life time warranty are a plus.

I have seen the 3M ad but never experimented with it. If you have questions I would be happy to do my best to answer these for you regarding our products.

Let me know if we can help..

Are pieces of this product available, or do you need to order a whole kit?

Im interested in the front end pieces.

Are these adhered the same as vinyl graphics, using a solution and a squeegee ?
