There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2008, which is the same. There is a silver plastic piece (right hand side of handle bars) covering the 7/8" bars next to the throttle. You can easily cut (the plastic piece) and remove it with a utility knife. Then, you can use a RAM ball mount along with the mating piece from RAM that attaches to the gps.
I used to have my gps there. I replaced it with a handle bar clock. Let me know if you want a picture of what and where I'm talking about.

Do you have a close up? Is the piece of chopping board underneath the plastic ledge and what is the thickness? Did you use a RAM ball mount, 2 screw or 1 screw type?
I may try it again on the plastic ledge, if I can see what you actually did.

Is that the reservoir mount I'm looking at? That's where I messed up. You've got your RAM mount running perpendicular on the plastic ledge; I had it horizontal. I like your way better.
Is that the mount from BRP? I thought about getting that one. It wasn't the money that stopped me. I was wondering if that put the gps in an awkward position for viewing. I like to keep my gaze looking in the forward direction. Do you find that viewing position to be the best for you?
