• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting a trailer!

I'm off in a few minutes to pick up a used RT622 trailer. It will be about a 16 hour day, but I'm really excited to get it. I just hope it's like the seller said it was. Then I'll get the hitch installed on my RTS on Friday.

You'll love the trailer. The hitch is a breeze to install. It looks much more complicated than it really is. One bolt and 5 minutes is all it takes.

Well, the dealer estimates 2-3 hours. I think just booting now hitch would be easy, like you say. But they will also install all the electronics, too.

I just had a trailer hitch installed the other day and it took a tad less than 30 minutes even with me quizzing the tech from time to time. He did mention that the old round plug hitches would take quite a bit longer to install.

I hope you didn't buy that trailer that was used for "testing" :yikes: that was in a thread here last week. It looked like it had been used in atomic bomb testing.

I think you will love the trailer I know I love mine.

No, it wasn't that one! :barf: That was a bargain I couldn't afford!

I just got home with it. Arrived about an hour after sundown, and I hadn't hooked it up to my car lights. About 3 miles from home a sheriff pulled out behind me, so I drove on my best behavior. He must have other things on his mind than my lack of trailer lights, and I made it home with out incident, though really tired. Pics later.

:congrats: Glad to that the toughest part is over!
don't worry; Farkling is a process that almost cannot be stopped...

:congrats:on the trailer, and making the turnaround without any trouble. By chance, eill the color match up with your :spyder2:?

No. My Spyder is red & the trailer is black. But it will look OK. If/when i can afford wraps, I have some ideas to make them look like a real set, meant to go together.

Glad to read this post. I was worried because I thought you were just going to tie it to your Spyder with a rope and tow it home because you didn't have your hitch installed.

622 trailer

What hitch are you installing on your :spyder2: ? and why?

I am curious about what is the best hitch for a 2011 RS~S?

1. GIVI frame mount?
2. BRP Swing arm mount?
I don't mean to Hyjack your thread, just curious of your choice
