• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We took a trip to Lake Palcid with friends this weekend, was supposed to be on Spyder with our club, but because of the weather we ended up going by car. I talk to a few businesses about the fact that there was no SITA this year. They expressed their disappointment, this included Robert Sport, that hosted a BBQ during the poker run, as will as the manager of the
Motel on lake where we stayed at SITA as will as this weekend. Also some of the restaurants! I mentioned that there was talk of something informal by some spyderlovers for the fall, they all thought that would be great! I personally love the area and will definitely go back this summer for some riding! Just thought I would give a shout out to the area as it is so beautiful and the roads are so much better then at home! I will miss SITA this year as it was our 1st spyder event, holding Lake Placid as a special place for us!

Here is a question for all you guys and gals that live in the Lake Placid/Plattsburgh area. We were wondering how your town keeps the roads so nice and smooth? As soon as we crossed back over to Quebec, we noticed how bad our roads were. We all get the same weathers hat gives?:dontknow::dontknow: Is it our damn politicians or what?

Lake Placid

Great home town and great ryding area, but Spyderquest 2013 out of Lake George in September will be the beginning of a great thing for the future. Look forward to many of the past SITA participants in September!!!! The roads in one of planed the rides will be great for the Spyders and some of the local history will be good for those who are looking for a ryde and sights.... see you all there:yes:

Lake Placid Stuff

Unfortunately was raining all weekend, so never had a chance to go up there! The roads around lake placid were very good though!

You wouldn't have made up it there anyway. There was three feet of snow at the summit! The Memorial Highway was closed because of the snow. Who would have thought that there would be a snow storm during Memorial Day weekend? I'm just glad it didn't hit the lower elevations because I am sick of snow. I love the Adirondacks in Spring!

I am thankful for the roads in the area. They are kept up quite well. Especially when you compare them to Vermont roads. They are so narrow and rough! NY State has a lot of taxes, so that keeps the Highway Departments working. Next time you're down in the area, drop a line. I live only 30 minutes from Lake Placid.

Happy Riding!

The Charbonneau Commision into fraud in the construction industry is hearing that substandard asphalt has been used on roads in Quebec for years & years while charging up to 80% more for it. !!!! GRRRRRR!!!!

Drove to Albany yesterday & back through Lake Placid today. Road surfaces were fantastic as usual.
