• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reverse Alarm

I think it would be neat to have a reverse alarm, does anyone sell one? My wife sometimes goes Beep - Beep - Beep, usually get a laugh.

Auto parts..!!

most auto parts stores carry those. The installation may be tricky. They normally run off the backup lights which on the RS are the emergency flashers/turn signals. That would make it beep every time you hit a signal, so you would have to look for the dash signal R light.. Let us know if you do install one...!!

thats good:roflblack: cheapest mod you'll make for the spyder.now to train my wife to do that when i back up:yikes:. someone have the number to 911 i'm going to need it:roflblack:.

It already has one.......... The dragging brakes in reverse makes a heck of a racket. :roflblack::roflblack:

HAH! I've got a running gag going with that one. I park under the carport, behind the car, to keep the nightly dew off. When we need to use the car, I don't start the Rotax, instead I just push it back out of the way. To do that, I have to...

Turn key on.
Turn parking brake off.
Turn key back off.
...start pushing...
the Nanny-Alarm perfectly mimics a Beeper for the next 20 seconds.

To anyone within earshot I exclaim, "See! It's even got a back-up beeper!" ;)

I carefully time the push to end exactly when the alarm quits. :roflblack:

People not familiar with Spyders sometimes just stare when I back up, it's a hoot. Was asked just last weekend if that was standard on all of those things, said yes, it keeps you from running over your feet, he got a real funny look on his face, a Harley rider...:roflblack:

Are the RT's different for turning off the brake. I can do it on mine without turning the key on

I've got a Verizon switching office across the road from me... You can get pretty tired of those beepers when you've been fed a steady diet of them; all day long! :gaah:
