• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BUDS REPORT RPM SUMMARY (Interesting)

I went down to my dealership, Seminole Power Sports, in Sanford, Florida. Service manager ran me a "courtesy BUDS test. It shows that I'm running between 4,000 and 5,999 RPMs about 50% of the time. Remainder is divided almost equally. (If interested you probably need to click on the image to enlarge).

Cool! It would appear that you're in the zone!
Did they charge you for doing this? I've got to get a new tire put on mine; so I'm thinking that it could be fun to see that report on mine...

Great..!!

already graded the "Test" and "2nd test" so just have to say your still doing great..keep it up..!! :ohyea:

It would probably be a good idea to get this printout on any used spyder before you buy it!!! Especially a SE5 so you got an idea on clutch health

Pulled this report on both our RT's last time they were serviced. My wife showed that she runs 4,000-6,000 range 57% of the time whereas mine showed up as 49%. The techs got on my case (good naturedly) about lugging my engine compared to her.

FYI...... Just to clarify

This Spyder resides in flat Florida and it seems it's drove very gently. Any mountain Spyders or more aggressive drivers will have higher RPM numbers. There is nothing wrong with a Spyder that shows a higher RPM report.

Chris,

How many miles does this report cover?

Are most of the miles crusing around town?

2013 RT-S. (December 28th)
About 4,800 miles prior to leaving for Spyderfest
Little over 9,000 miles now

75% riding in town
25% riding countryside. (Flarda does have hills)

Riding style: Moderate to aggressive.
Have used 5th gear probably 8 times since purchase

Usually shift around 5,500 RPMs.

Hope this helps.

Chris

High RPMs are not an issue it's low ones that are BAD 4K to 6k is golden less than 4k and your dragging your clutch. More than 6k your just having fun
