• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Had a great little ride yesterday

I really needed to get away from this stupid computer so I called up my new friend Roger and asked if he wanted to make a run somewhere. He called back and put together a great little ride with a bunch of his family. We had three Harleys and one other Spyder. :doorag:

We took it pretty slow as we had one guy who was a new rider and the roads were a little wet in some places. Went on a few roads I've never been on and that was really cool. I left the trailer at home and at the speeds we were running (speed limit mostly) I got 40 mpg.

We were just short of a 200 mile day and the weather was pretty good, Low 50's to high 40's. All and all it was a great time. :doorag:

Very nice, Lamont! Our temps are in the mid 50s today. So; I'm planning a little ride later on before our band gets together to play tonight. My Wife, Brother-in-Law, and Son are headed to Wal-Mart for some more Christmas lights. I thought we finished that yesterday... Lol!

My Thanksgiving day ride out to Chickasaw State Park of about 115 miles will be the longest of this weekend. But, Jean and I hope to get some 2 up riding in tomorrow.

40 mpg, wow
Have you ever gotten this before?

No, 38mpg is the best I've ever gotten without the trailer. Could be driving the speed limit, could be my new cold air intake and removing Ken's O2 modifier or it could be all of the above.:doorag:

Had a nice little 200 mile ride today with some friends of mine. 3 Harleys, 1 Victory, and 1 Spyder. Of course our weather was a little nicer, got up to 80 today. :2thumbs:

Kept it under 70 mph during the ride and got 37 mpg. I've come to the conclusion that if someone would manufacture a different sprocket for the spyder that the gas mileage would jump significantly.

I don't think the sprocket is the issue... it's the new belt length that's a killer.

It would depend on the size of the sprocket. A slight change would give you the benefits of lower rpms and improved gas mileage and with the adjustability of the belt you could use the stock belt. I went from at 14 tooth to 15 tooth on my KLR and saw an improvement of on the average 9 mpgs with no change in the chain. It just needed to be adjusted.

Driving the speed limit, heard of that, some day I will try:)

Was all this continuous driving ie. same speed most of the time?
