• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello fellow spyder lovers

Hello to all my user name is Ironman and for the last few weeks i have been trying to absorb as much information about the spyder. I have been to most of the websites and been to two different dealerships to look at the spyder, heck i was so excited that i even map quested the route from my home to the factory in canada [ about 6 hrs] lol. i saw some great mods being done. After sitting on one i was glad to see the risers that are being sold at NO MAGIC NEON 4" up and you can adjust them towards the driver cool. Anyways here is my question. I know why i want to get one but can anybody tell me why i should not get one. Looking to here from you all. P.S. Ithink i will go with a red and black one. :chat:

Other than that welcome:spyder:

:2excited:Thanks i most likely will but will have to wait for my settlement on 1/3/2008 some guy crossed over the double yellow line and hit me head on now i have no cartilage in my left knee and i am to young for a knee replacement so i think the spyder will help me get my open air fix. :2excited:

Thank you lamonster i see you are a admin. and saw several of your own posts now what do you think the first mod should be right off the showroom floor. I should mention that i have not done a test ride yet its been to cold up here fpr that although today is not bad 58 alittle cooler in your neck of the woods huh lamonster

Let me see... if you decide not to get one, you would not know what you would be missing, the thrill and fun you'd miss, and like what Lamonster said, you would not know how a "rockstar" feeling would be like. Visit your nearest BRP dealer and try one. It's a safe ride and a fast one too. Welcome, Ironman!

Thank you imru3. I have rode motorcycles for 15yrs so i'am sure the transition wont be diffacult. i see you are in nevada warm there still not to bad here in NY 58.

knee pads ,,,,,, sorry just being an @$$ hole .... i would say highway pegs if you have a bad knee keeping them in the factory position will beat the heck out of them ... at 47 my knees are fine and after a long ride especially in the colder weather i can't bend them when i get off bike ...
good luck you will love having one ....

Just one question- can you see or are you blind? :dontknow:
:joke:

Congrats on the settlement, boo on the floppy knee. Hope something good comes from it like getting a Spyder!!!!!!! w00t!

thanks tatt2r Yes i was actually thinking of floorboards i had them when i had a bike won't go without them also wont go without a windshield i don't like my head bee-boppin around in the wind.

be careful on the windshield some can make head bobbling worse....(i'm kind of anti windshield) ... unlike some or most of my peers ....

daddydarko i'am definately getting one my daughter liked it when i took her on my bike but now i cant hold the bike up so this looks like a good alternative.

tatt2r i think they make taller ones now so i hope that solves it. only started with the windshield on my bike cause it was getting cold next thing i knew it was 40 degrees out and no problem with the cold. i see you are in NH 2 QUESTIONS 1 NO HELMET LAW. 2 DID YOU HAPPEN TO GOTO LACONIA AND SEE ANYMORE SPYDERS.

welcome

3,600 miles in 7 weeks. The Can-Am Spyder is fantastic! And, like Lamont says; if you don't want to become an instant RockStar, get something else! :)

Hi Ironman
I have two total knee replacements one done this past June and I recieved my Spyder in Oct. and put on 602 miles in a month. I put on 4" risers and highway pegs that extend 4" back towards me and my knees are fine. the best THEROPY you can have.
GO for it.

Good day
