Two Brother Exhaust with Juice Box/Filter

I just ordered a TBR dual exhaust black series and was told i need either a power commander or the TBR. Will the Juice Box be enough or do i need something else ?

I am running with the juice box pro and very happy with the performance so far. I received a custom map from one of the forum members here who really did his homework. Highly recommend the juice box pro. If you have the regular juice box, it may not get the settings you really need to boost performance. If you really want adjustability, then the power commander is one that everyone will recommend. Just my 2 cents.

I am running the Juice box with a Green Filter and I have TBR duals.Had this set up since I purchased spyder in 2010 No problems at all.

With just the exhaust, its not a major requirement to have the JB or a Ppower Commander. When you'll need it more, will be when you decide to get the green filter or the kewlmetal intake. It will make you run lean and you'll need the JB to make changes. The only symptom I had with just the exhaust is backfire/poping on deceleration.

I have TBR duals, K&N air filter and the power commander with auto tune and its GREAT! Had the Juice box pro and had a LOT of backfiring. Switched out to the power commander and auto tune and been perfect since!

TBR Duals

I had the dual Two Brothers exhaust on there with nothing else at first and I couldn't stand the backfiring, so I purchased the PC V and it has made a dramatic difference, not only with the backfiring, which is now non-existent, but with the overall performance. I've also heard of people installing the O2 mod in the past which also solved the backfiring problem. I don't believe these are available from the manufacture any longer, but there are individuals that have them. I have a used one that I'd be willing to get rid of for $90 if you want to go that route, but you'll be happier with the Juice Pro or PCV. I never used the O2 mod. I bought it used from the administrator of the OZSpyder Forum in Australia. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Ryde safe.

Thanks to all who replied to this junior member of the order of spyder lovers. I going to order the Pro Juice Box/Filter and see what happens. When i get it in i'm gonna beg one of you guys for a map. The posts have been helpful in clearing my mind on this subject. Thanks again Frankenstein

I have an additional question for those who have the TBR dual exhaust along with either the power commander or the juice box. Has anyone noticed the heat level reduced around the exhaust pipes as well, I have a 2009 RS and it has significant heat issues with the exhaust. I was advised by Two Brothers that the combo of the dual exhaust black series along with the juice box would significantly reduce the heat issues coming from the exhaust. Has anyone else noticed this? Just want to make an informed decision before I purchased based on others experiences as well!

Thanks!!

Sorry one last question, is the noise level of the dual two brothers extremely loud, as my husband and I use communicators in our helmets. I've heard they have a deep throttle sound but would need to know if I would need to get a baffle of some sort. Just thinking bout different options.
Thanks again

I have a set of dual TB exhaust, and in my opinion, they are loud regardless if you have the TB baffle tips or not. Using the communicators should not be a problem but your neighbors may hate you every time you fire up the Spyder. Yes, real deep sound but loud nonetheless. I do recommend the baffle tips that TB sells. It does help with the loudness quite a bit. Hope that helps

i have the juice box pro with my dual TB exhausts and have noticed a little bit of a decrease in the heat level around the pipes. Not a significant drop but it doesn't feel as hot as stock did. My guess is that the JB pro is cooling the engine a bit more due to the better fuel control. Not as lean, thus a cooler engine and better performance. Don't expect a big drop in heat reduction but JB pro does help a bit.

:agree: the wife tends to get annoyed on longer trips, a little rumblier from the backseat versus the front

Be a good idea to try one of the supplied TBR maps (likely the #3 map) with your new pipe and filter first. Tweaking the baseline maps (leaner or richer) by thirds (0-3000 RPM, 3000-6000 RPM, & 6000-9000 RPM) is a snap with a #0 Phillips screwdriver. READ the TBR supplied JBP literature PRIOR to installation, call TBR with any questions BEFORE tearing your Spyder apart. You can always go to a custom map if the baseline map + or - tweaks doesn't work. Using this stuff is a :cus: of a lot easier and cheaper than repeatedly adjusting multiple jets in a four carb bank; and synchronizing the carbs after each change; like back in the day! Good luck!
