• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I need my coffee.

Still new to :spyder2:'s and I am still looking for a cup holder for my 2012 RT. I have withdraws if I don't have my coffee with me at all times. Most if not all cup holders I've seen are mounted on the right side handlebar. So I have to ask, is there any reason no has a cup holder for the left side? Is there something on the left side that prevents mounting a bracket there? Do I have to make my own?
I only have 180 miles on the bike so I'm still sorting things out but I'm used to having my cup holder on the left side. Seem like my right hand is always busy so I just prefer on the other side.

Thanks, Dale.

Check out Baker Built (Sponcer of SpyderLovers). Their cup holder mounts on the left side for the RT.

I bought an aftermarket "No Name" cup holder at the International Motorcycle show and it worked out well on the left side. Not as pretty as the Butler, but it works.

Google..!!

you can google "motorcycle cup holders" and you will have a large variety to chose from..ebay and amazon also have good selection...site sponsors here..

Thanks...

Thanks guys, I REALLY like the Baker unit. I'll do some more looking around but I think the Baker is going to be a winner.

Welcome Doc.

As you can see from my signature pic mine is left side mounted.

It is an ISC holder mounted with a RAM ball. Here is a pic taken on my old RT that may show it better. Back then I placed it on the driver side but now I place it on the dash side. The RAM mount lets you move it where ever you want. (within reason).

:coffee: Nobody loves a good cup of "Brown Ambition" more than I do... :coffee: But I've always kind of figured it best to store the drinks whle the wheels are spinning, and break them out at the stops... If a mugful of Arabica bean squeezings got spilled down into the bodywork... :yikes:
Or is my "Olphartedness" showing again?

Long straw Bob, long straw:roflblack:!

So it'd be like a mid-air reueling exercise? Do you know how much training THAT takes? I'd poke my eye out, or drive off the road trying to get the straw stuffed safely ino my piehole! :roflblack:

Ram Mount

We have a 2012 RTS. Because of the large diameter of the handle bars, I went with the Ram Mount ATV/UTV Large Diameter Mount($21.98) and the Ram Mount Drink Cup Holder($16.99). Like you, I prefer the holder on the left side.
Do a search for these on Amazon. Hope this helps.:D

Forgot something

You will also need a Dual Socket Arm. You may find a package deal with the cup holder and the dual socket arm.

I do cold and not hot while the wheels are turning. I like coffee but i reserve that for the gas breaks which do come often enough:roflblack:
for my water bottle i went to walmart and got a bike water bottle holder and a 3 inch hose clamp and it works great. (looks better than it sounds, I covered the hose clamp with a strip of velcro and you dont see it). cost about 6 bucks.photo.jpg I put a peice of that black non skid stuff under the hose clamp and the velcro over the clamp.
