09 RS Sports Rack release cable replacement help

You guys are going to kill me for this, but upon re-installing the rack, I "pinched" the release cable. Although it still works, its not well at all... pps:pps:pps:

what do you mean, you '' pinched '' it ?

I pinched mine during the install(ok, i flattened it beyond repair). So I MacGyver'd one with a cable from the local bicycle shop. I wish BRP would sell me a new one...

I removed the entire cable assembly and took it to a bike shop. After looking at it for a while, no solutions came to mind.

I can't explain how you did it, but I have a spare one if you need it. Brand new, never used. PM me and we can work on the details.

have made and modified cable forever could have fixed it. Pic would help to see the damage. But now your best bet is to pick up the new one offered..good luck..!! :thumbup:
