It looks like you would be pushing the weight limit. I don't think I would lift my Spyder with this even intoxicated.

I would have a concern on the reach of this lift. I have a Pitt Bull lift and it allows me to place the turntable anywhere I need. It is also more solid construction and more expensive but worth the extra money.

I got the yellow one from Sears. It rolls under the bike and you jack it with the long handle.

I have thought about trying this one, but was concerned about the weight. I had a harbor freight lift table for my HD Classic, but it buckled and bend the lift arms after about 2 years of use. The HD classic weighed 850 lbs and the table was rated to 1500 lbs...

For the spyder, I just use ramps.

Are you comfortable using the pit bull on the spyder? according to them, it's not recommended but because of the apparent quality, I just ordered one.

Have to agree with the reach question, but also limits access on the lift side. You would have to switch the lift each time. :dontknow:

it works great... you just need to try it a couple times to find the center-of-balance, and you're off and running... and it's 1500 capacity is much better than the one you're talking about....

but decided to go this way after reading all the reviews of that high lift. to many complaints of the arms sagging under heavy load.

I'd be concerned about that original lift's reach in under the bike...
I've been using a Wally-Mart ATV lift that I can slide up under the Spyder and position as needed :thumbup:
But it is only a half-ton capacity...:shocked:

I have the Harbor freight lift, and it seems very unstable. There was a review of various lifts by consumer reports(I think) They would not run it through the full battery of tests for fear it would collapse. I plan to replace mine.

I have one. It has worked perfectly for me several times. Be sure you have it centered and squared properly...:bowdown:

I use this one on my RT and my Honda V65 motorcycle and it works great. It also works on my '98 Ski Doo Skandic - it allows me to role it around the floor without having to drive it and tear the hell out of my floor or asphalt.

I have one at my shop. Don't waste your money on it. I had bought it for my motorcycle and I don't trust it. Will not fit under the Spyder right.

I just got it at Harbor Freight $189.00 - 20% off = $153.00 Very well made and the one I got had the extra support on both sides (the blue model). Search this forum for jacks and you will see photos of it and where to place it to lift the SPyder.

IMHO

Yes, you do get what you pay for. After said HF lift keeled over on me with 07 Goldwing aboard I came to the conclusion that you would have to be out of your rabbit ass mind to even consider placing anything much heavier that a bicycle on any HF product. Just an opinion based on contusions and conclusions.

I just got the same lift as Cavman, from Sears for $189. Works great. The one you are looking at, because of the bar at the forks, may not fit fully under the bike, especially if you have floor boards.
