Received my Glo Ryder lights yesterday and will do the install today. The weather is perfect here for a night ryde. The only problem I see with the control sent to me is that I must have my hand on the antenna for the lights to go on or off even if the antenna is only inches away from the wheel lights.
I will call Glo Ryder today to see if this is normal.

Yes i got mine the other day an u really have to b right on them with the antenna up. i was only 10 feet away an nuthing?? Do like them wish i could run blue an red when i ride but its all good.

You most likely won't need to extend the antenna to make them work; i didn't... :thumbup:

Fin, you have the special edition Key Largo remote. It's laid back and needs a little more persuading to get it to work. :roflblack:

I installed mine yesterday. The remote seems a little sluggish turning on but once the Glos are on they work fine.

I kind of found that you had to hit the button quickly; like they did in the video! :thumbup: If you're slow going from the color-change, to the lock button; nothing happens... :shocked: Once I sped it up... :2thumbs:

They said it hesitates for a second when you turn them on but then you are good to go.

Keys disease

I have the early symtoms of Keys Disease, hands tremble, memory loss, living in three quarter time etc., but I really think it should transmit with out my hand on the antenna from five feet.

Maybe if you could get the remote stuffed into your right hand with your fingers extended, and use your left index finger to punch buttons? :dontknow:
That way you don't have to wrap around it to hold it in place... :thumbup:

I talked to Glo Ryder Rep. And he is going to see me today in Key Largo. He was already here in the Keys
All functions work normal on my remote except turning on when I must have contact with the antenna. The Rep. Told me there are other remotes like mine and that Glo Ryder is looking into this issue.

You folks with your fancy schmancy remotes to change the color of the lights are making me very jealous.

I cannot justify this option, but have a set of regular gloryders on each :ani29:. Do to the daylight situation here, I only get benefit of the lights in September or later. And then--it is getting pretty cold to ryde.

I do get to see my lights every time I pull into or out of my garage though. :roflblack:

007 of Key Largo Florida

I met with the Glo Ryder Rep. Yesterday in Key Largo and he told me that I have the 007 version of Glo Ryder. My remote can only be activated by me with my pinky in contact with the antenna. This Rep. Only known by the code name "L" lives in an undisclosed área here in the Keys. Some how, Bubba who heads up R&D misplaced a few of these 007 transmitters and they got into the shipping section and a few lucky souls received them.
I must make one hell of a antenna because with my pinky attached I can turn the wheel lights on at 100 feet.

Gol Ryder has my spyder doing the ejector seat and installing the rockets and oil spray system.
I also ubderstand that I will have stealth capability.
I will truely be low key in the Florida Keys.
